It was a cold and rainy night. Ben was inside getting ready for bed. He got in the bath tub and washed his hair, then he brushed his teeth. He got a cup of water and got into his bed. He turned to his calendar, and crossed off 12/7/1888. He then tucked himself under the blankets and blew out his candle. He moved around a little and saw a shadow shaped like a man sitting down in the corner of his room. He decided it was only his toys stacked up in a pile. In the morning when he woke up there wasn't even a toy block there. What could it have been? He thought.
19 Years Later
Ben had turned 24 afew months back. He was happily married and had two kids: A boy and a girl. After Ben had bathed and tucked his children in he went to his own room and decided to wait for his wife to return from work so he could let her in. 30 minutes later she returned. Ben went into the kitchen to talk to her and ask how she was. After that she went to bathe. Ben got into his bed and turned off the light. Then he realised that the window to his room was locked. He could've sworn he locked it. The curtains swayed in the wind slowly. He llooked around the room and saw the shape of a man. Just like the one he had seen when he was little. He turned on the light and saw a man much older than him right in the corner.
"Hello?" Ben said curiously. "Sir are you...ok?" The man didnt move. "Sir, you have to move" he said grabbing the mans arm.
"NO!" The old man yelled. "NO GET OFF OF ME!" He yelled getting to his feet now.
"I'm sor-" Ben started to say.
"LET GO OF ME!" He started to hit Ben yelling louder.
Ben started to black out. He could barely see. Everything was a blur. Then it turned black. Bens wife walked in not long after and saw the man sitting in the corner and her husband spread across the floor motionless. She turned and ran into the kitchen. She picked up the phone and started to call the police when the man came out and started to yell.
"NO!PLEASE NO! ANYTHING BUT THAT!" He yelled. The man started to look through all the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen. He had found what he was looking for. A large grin spread across his face as he pulled out a knife and started to walk towards Bens Wife, his smile growing wider the closer he got to her. He grabbed her and started to stab her. He let go of her and she dropped to the floor, The man walked through the hall towards the childrens room.
