Hi. My name is Kayla and this is my love story.

"Hey, you coming to the party tonight?" My best friend, Benny asks me when we were in the hallways after the bell rings.

Benny was my best friend since we were in year two, considering how we are now in year 12 and graduating soon, our relationship is really strong. He has dark, almost black, silky hair that I love running my fingers through, defined jaw and cheek bones, an AMAZING body and huge, innocent-looking soft brown eyes which I am really jealous of, even though he says that he loves my blue eyes more than his own. His body is, well huge. Not in a bad way, it's more like in an 'I work out a lot' way. He likes to show of his body a lot. Anyway, he's really tall and all in all, he's hot.

And I have to admit that I kind of have a crush on him. Actually, that's an understatement. I'm kinda in love with him. Since fifth grade. Yeah, that's a long time, I know. It's really hard to control myself sometimes. Like, a few times, I just feel like jumping on him and wrapping my legs around his waist so that he can't escape and attacking his face with my lips. Okay, I may be lying. It was not just a few times. It was more like over a hundred times. But if you think about it, that's not a lot of times considering I started having feelings for him like seven years ago.

I refuse to tell you what I look like because I am horrible at describing myself but I can descibe other people well. Sorta. It's weird, I know. I think it's just because I don't like to look at myself in the mirror unless I need to, except I look at other people constantly. The only think I will say is that I have blue eyes like I said before, and I have blond hair that goes down to my waist.

Back to the story.

"Yeah, I'm going. Don't worry. It's kinda a given, seeing as you are hosting it. Though I still can't believe that your parents let you throw a party."

"Neither can I, believe me." Benny replies.

"Okay, well. I've gotta go. I've got to do my homework and then get ready for the party later. I'll see you in a few hours?"

"Yep. See ya."

~~~~ A Few Hours Later ~~~~
I am all ready for the party now, wearing a black dress that ends a few inches above my knees along with some white heels and a little charm necklace that I got from my father before he died from cancer. Sad, yes but it happened 3 years ago so I am still sort of getting over his death but coping with it. Wish the same could be said about my mother. She is battling depression, ever since he died, it's gotten much better over the years, to the point where she won't try to kill herself over the grief but still not in the best condition she could be in. Sometimes I wish that she could meet somebody new so that she beats the depression completely and I can see her smile properly, a real and not forced smile.
I shake my head to rid my thoughts from straying to far and grab my phone, shove it into my bra and walk down the hallway to where my mother is, in the living room.
"I'm going now Mum, I'm not coming back until morning because Benny said I can sleep over at his. Is that okay?" I ask her, trying my best not to sound to concerned about her and guilty about leaving her. Obviously, I fail and she see's right through me.
"I'll be fine, honey. No need to worry, I can take care of myself." She sasses back. I smile at her humour and give her a hug before walking out the front door, not before screaming out a "Bye!" To which she replies with an equally as loud response, an echo of my very own words.
I drive through the roads, up and down the path memorised and carved into my memory, I could probably get to Benny's house blindfolded. Not that I would try, that would be stupid and dangerous.
