Thomas: His immediate reaction is to go get him. He doesn't want you to go but of course you would. So when everyone agreed to go, he was shocked and a bit mad. He didn't want anyone else getting hurt. You kissed him quickly, telling him we'd find him.
Newt: He lost hope. He always kind of kept things alive, after Winston, he was more of a emotional stable for everyone. As long as Newt kept going, we all could. But when he collapsed against a rock, holding his head between his hands, we knew. Hope was gone. But you had to bring it back up, that was your job. Not only as Newts girlfriend, but part of the group was to keep things going.
