I was walking forward. One step after the other, focusing on my feet. Trying to avoid the judging eyes which were being darted at me.
'Breath in and out', I say to myself.
The cold autumn air fills up my lungs and it forms a poof of smoke as I exhale the air. Whispers echoed around my ears like mosquitos, only causing trouble to me.

Rumours had been circling around school like a game of Chinese whispers, with each person the words became more twisted and further from the truth.

The pep talk I gave myself in my head were the only words of encouragement I was receiving. But it wasn't loud enough to block out the words being slurred about with my name.
I held back the tears and kept a stern face.
My legs were giving in and I was becoming weak; but I had to keep moving forward and not let them effect me. If I lost myself what would I have left?
I picked up my pace and marched forward, the way my mum always said to me.

Obviously I want to think that my mum loves me, to be a honest a lot of the times I almost think she does. But then those words come out of her mother and hit me like a bullet. I'm sure she doesn't have any bad intentions (or at least I hope not) but it irritates me I'm not good enough.

My siblings hate me and become in the state of disgust upon seeing me. Luke, my older brother has been hating me even more since he discovered the truth. Then again so would I. It all happened because of me. It's my fault. Since it all occurred my head has been lowered down due to the shame.
Every single breath has been a miniature battle. I didn't want to continue this, but I don't have enough courage to put this, all of this to a complete end.

This is shorter than the coming chapters as I wanted to give a short intro to how the character feels to keep you captivated in the story.
