Chapter 5 - Auction

Collin's POV

I still can't believe it. I didn't know how Chloe got it but this has got to be the best birthday gift ever!! Now here I am standing in heaven. Yeah, I call this place heaven 'cause it sure feels like it. I mean it's huge with lots of amazing guitars for bidding. Yes, she gave me VIP passes to this exclusive guitar auction. Not only that, there's also $500 for me to use on this auction. I'm glad I had her as my twin sister.

"Chloe, how did you afford all of this?" I asked her still with a huge grin on my face as we entered the big hall.

"Let's just say that I had connections."

"I love you so much Chlo."

"Yeah, yeah! I know. Now c'mon. What are you waiting for? Start bidding!"

We were down to the last guitar in the room. And this was by far my most favorite. But I'm kinda having a hard time, considering there is also this bidder who i think is a girl. She seems so determined to get the guitar. She's been competing with my bids for the whole time. But I can't let her win, I love that guitar so much and I'm taking it home.

If she bids a little higher she'll surely get it. $500 was all I had. And I can't ask Chloe for more since she already gave me so much. I can't be that selfish. PLEASE JESUS. I HOPE SHE STOPS ALREADY. I mean what would she even do with a guitar?

I think she has given up. Oh yeaahh, that guitar is mine!

"$600!" oh. Great. I spoke too soon. It really boke my heart to pieces. 

"Going once, going twice, sold to the lady in blue! This beautiful guitar has just found it's owner." said the host of the auction.

I can't believe it. I just lost to a girl. And now my baby is gone.

CHLOE's POV

OMG. I can't believed that just happened. I never saw Collin get so depressed before, and now it is all my fault. I never shoud've brought him here. I never should've gotten him this present.

I need to do something. I can't take seeing Collin like this. So, i quickly made my way through the crowd and looked for the girl who won the guitar.

Once i spotted her, i immediately approached her. She wasn't facing me.

"Uhmm, excuse me?" I asked as I poked her on the shoulder.

When she was now facing me, my jaw dropped. 

Oh. My. Fudgeballs.

It's Hayley from PARAMORE. OMFG

"Yes?" she said.

"Uh- I was just wondering, if by any chance, can i have that guitar? 'Cos my brother really want that so bad. But he just lost to you. And now he's all depressed and it's all my fault." I said a little faster cos I was really nervous. Just startstruck. But I hope she agrees with me.

"I'm Chloe, by the way. And I promise to do anything."

"Did you just say anything?" Hayley said.

Uh-oh.
