Chapter 3: The Masks

Kat's POV:
Stunned, I stepped out of the store with Emma and Lia and got into my car. I angrily pushed Aidan Hunter out of my mind as I plugged my phone in and put my playlist on shuffle. The first song that played was 'Been You' from purpose and I was instantly cheered up. We all rolled down the windows and sang along at the top of our voices, with the convertible roof down.

*skip the rest of the ride back*

I jumped out of the car, got out the house keys and unlocked the door.
"Guys it's already 6 o'clock. The party starts at 9!" Lia said, worried.
"SHIT! GUYS!" Emma screamed, scaring us, "Calm down, Em. It's okay we'll get ready in time, we have 3 hours!" I said, rolling my eyes.
"No, Kat! I just remembered, the party is masked! We don't have any masks!" She squealed and began to pace.
"Crap ugh I forgot! Wait, I'll call Marya asking where she is!" I clicked open my phone and dialled my other best friend's number,
M: Hello?
K: MARYA! Heyyy!
M: heyy!! OMG I was just thinking about you! How was the night with Lia and Emma?
K: it was great, I wish you could've come too.
M: yeah, me too but I had to help my mom, we didn't sleep til 2 because we were sorting out the paperwork!
K: awe, it's okay, anyway, where are you right now?
M: I'm in Harrods picking up my dress, why?
K: perfect! Can you pick up some masks for me, Lia and Em?
M: sure, what colours?
K: black, red and blue
M: okay, I'll be there in 20 mins.
K: thanks marya! Love you!
M: love you too, Kat! see you soon.
I ended the call and smiled at Em and Lia, Marya'll bring them in 20 minutes. Let's start getting ready. I'm gonna go shower, you guys want to wash your hair?
"Yeah, my hair looks like shit." Said Lia, grabbing a towel and walking into the bathroom on the first floor.
"Dibs on the 2nd floor bathroom!" Emma said, running up the stairs. I guess that leaves me with the highest floor. I walked up to my bathroom, locked the door and undressed. As I turned on the shower, I thought through it all. I'd never though Aidan would be so hot. I mean I'd heard he was but I never believed anyone. I shook these thoughts out of my head and finished my shower. Hush, Kat; you have a boyfriend for God's sake!
I wrapped a towel around my body and stepped out, pulling on a baggy t-shirt and some shorts.
"You guys done?" I called for Emma and Lia. I heard the doorbell ring; it must be Marya! I ran down the stairs to see Lia and Emma already by the door, hugging Marya.
"MARYA MARYA!!!!" I screamed (it's a cute little nickname for her I have)
"KIT KAT!" She came up to hug me really hard. I laughed as she wiggled her eyebrows at me, "I brought the maaasksss" she said in a singing voice.
"Ooooh show mee!" Lia squealed, grabbing the bag from her. Emma looked worried, "Em, you okay?" I asked, putting my arm around her.
"Yeah, it's just we haven't met with Seth for some time, do you think we should invite him over?" She asked. Seth was the 5th best friend we were a huge squad and he was the funniest guy ever.
"Yeah, sure I'll call him now." I said
S: Hey Kit Kat, what's good?
K: Sethhhhh come over
S: what? Now?
K: yeahhh what are you doing?
S: getting a new tat
K: well come over afterwards
S: okay, give me 25 minutes
K: okay, bye!
S: bye, K!
I turned to Emma, "he'll be here in 25 minutes, lets have a look at the masks now!"
Marya took out four really sexy kitty masks in the colours we needed and handed them to each of us,
"Oh Marya... You've... I can't even. It's omg" Lia was speechless
"Marya they're PERFECT!" I screamed and hugged her. Me, Lia and Emma all tackled her in a giant group hug with out wet hair soaking her.
"Okay okay guys" she said, laughing, "let's put them all on and get ready!"
