She walked hurriedly to her next destination, getting quicker and quicker as she walked down the blue halls. She went straight to the headmaster’s office. Normally she was shy and somewhat the quiet type but today she had a huge problem. She had been at this academy for only a year now. It was the type of academy that had dorms, that you had to work to stay in, be extremely talented, or extremely rich. And so far she was absolutely none of these things, or so she thought. She knocked on the headmasters door once there. The door was solid oak and it almost hurt her to knock as hard as she did.
“Come on in”
The headmaster answered sounding deep and raspy.
She opened the door to see the headmaster, old and wise looking behind his dark oak desk with a few picture of old history battles that no one payed attention to up on the wall. He also had bookshelves on two walls, filled with what looked to be encyclopedias and othewr such boring material that none o the students also probably never looked twice at.
“Ahh, what was your name again ?” He asked barely looking up from a document on his desk with his reading glasses. He very well knew her name, but he wasn’t about to make not one student in this school feel somewhat important. Especially not this one.
“My name is Everless. Everless Koori . I’m technically a freshman even though ive already been here a year. Taking pre req’s so that I could fit into the schedule without falling behind.” She explained.
The headmaster stood up in his green collared shirt that fit onto his gut and tan pants with some ugly looking brown leather shoes and his balding white hair and wise eyes. He was probably around 60 years old. Everless would not be intimidated no matter where she came from. She stood up straight with her chin in the air as the headmaster scrutinized her.
“Yes, you. You’re the pity case. Off the streets, from the dirt.” He said with a haughty laugh.
She sucked it in, what a low blow for someone so wise. “Sir headmaster. I know what I am there is no need to remind me and there is no reason for you to criticize either seeing as how your family went bankrupt last summer. What you are has nothing to do with who you could grow to be.” She said with attitude. Then she instantly clamped a hand over her mouth not believing what had just came out of her mouth. The headmaster stood there with a shocked expression.
“What did you come here for? And rather be a lady who has a clever tongue than a foul mouth.
I apologize for my previous statement, I was in fact out of line. Though you should do well to respect authority young lady.” He said then mumbled about hormones.
“You put me in the male dorms, with males. And a male roommate. I would like that to change. I think it rather highly inappropriate.” She stated taking a seat in one of the three black leather chair in his office. The headmaster also sat back down behind his desk.
“Well there was no other room. I apologize ms. Koori. But being what you are , you’re the one that got left to last. You will just have to work with it.” He answered signing the document he was earlier reading.
“Well I can tell when I have wasted my time, I do not wish to waste anymore of it. Farewell headmaster” She stated then walked out of his office without another word. A look of annoyance swept across her features. She started walking toward the male dorms. She still could not believe what she had said back there. She was a completely different person. She pushed the silver double doors leading outside of the administration building and to the left where the male dorms were. Not to the right where the female dorms were. As the cool breeze of December hit her she felt herself calm and go back into her normal persona. On her way into the tan bricked boys dorms, she bumped into a rather tall solid guy and got knocked down onto her bum.
