Suzume's POV.

Darkness.

It was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes. It was completely dark. Even though I couldn't see anything, I could still sense walls around me, and also the presence of a person. They were close, but the person's presence was slowly fading. He or she was probably leaving.

I grunted and raised my hands and stretched my arms. Before I had fully stretched them, my fingertips were already touching a rough board. Just as I thought, there was indeed a wall in front of me, made of wood. With a powerful push, the wall easily toppled over.

I furrowed my brows as I stepped out of the room, and looked around me. The sun shone brightly, almost blindingly and I had to blink a few times before my eyes were accustomed to the light. Sand. There was nothing but sand around me. I could tell it was warm, but I didn't feel it.

This was so surreal.

I didn't understand. What was I doing here? Why was I here? I could still clearly remember the day I died. I was injured too badly, and didn't have any chances of survival.

I wasn't supposed to be alive.

I looked down, at my hands and arms. My skin was marred with cracks and my body felt a bit weird, probably because I couldn't feel warmth and such things.

Was this some sort of resurrection technique? If it was, then why was I resurrected? And why in this place? There wasn't anything here.

My eyes narrowed when I saw that person running in the distance, away from me. Without hesitating, I ran after him. The person wasn't that fast, but he was already far away.

I should be able to catch up.

The chance that he was the one who summoned me was very big. Or was I summoned remotely?

It didn't matter. That person, at least, knew a lot more than me right now, and I needed information. I needed to know what was going on.

Was this some sort of resurrection technique? If it was, then why was I resurrected? And why in this place? There wasn't anything here.

What was the purpose of summoning me here?

Looking back at my past, it couldn't be for something good. I did unforgivable things, but I did it with a valid reason.

A reason most people wouldn't understand.

Once again, I looked at my hands, and kept an eye on where I was going at the same time. I couldn't say I disliked being alive again, but there better be a good reason for messing with me. I could tell that this wasn't my body, and there was only one jutsu like this.

I wasn't able to suppress a wicked smile.

That Tobirama.

If only he knew his technique would be used to revive me. It's like he's giving me back my life after he took it from me. It's laughable.

I wonder how much time has passed. I couldn't tell from my surroundings. I was in the middle of nowhere after all. When I looked forward again, I grinned when the person was already closeby. Now, I could clearly see it was a man. He was wearing a grey flak and also a dark hat. That was all I could see.

I was slowly catching up to him even more and more, but when chasing after him started to annoy me, I decided to use a jutsu to stop him.

I performed a few hand seals. "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

The fire reached the man easily, and he began to burn. It didn't matter. He'd be restored shortly anyway. He was probably resurrected as well and was just sent here to summon me, so this wouldn't kill him, but it did slow him down. And if it was a normal person, I'd just have to look for someone else who'd tell me everything.

Just as I thought; he was indeed resurrected.

The man was slowly restoring. Dust attached itself to his body, turning into his limbs. When his face was visible, he opened his eyes which widened slightly when he saw me. He must not have expected me to catch up with him so quickly.

The man wore some sort of mask with a symbol engraved on it which was composed of four parallel vertical lines that resembled rain. To his mask, there was some sort of respirator attached to it. I knew a lot of people in Amegakure wore that thing, but I still found it odd.

What I also found weird, is that he wasn't running, or even trying to get away. Maybe he knew he wouldn't succeed in doing so anyway, or was he intenting to fight instead of run? He seemed frozen, and he also trembled a bit.

I squinted my eyes, glaring at him. ''Why did you ressurect me?'' I asked, getting straight to the point.

He didn't answer. Instead, his pupils turned white and the trembling stopped. I grunted and swiftly reached out to his neck, wrapping my fingers around it. ''Answer the question.''

''There's no need to be so violent, Uchiha Suzume.'' He said, sounding digustingly sweet. ''I'm the one who made this reincarnation ressurect you.''

My eyes narrowed eyes further and my fingers tightened around his neck. I knew I wasn't hurting him this way, he was probably just enjoying it, but I still wanted him to know he couldn't just do as he pleased. He wasn't the same person as before. His expression had changed the moment his eyes turned white. That was some nasty jutsu, being able to take control like that. Letting my guard down around him wasn't an option. I was a reanimation as well, and I wouldn't want such a guy to take control of me.

''For what purpose?'' I asked slowly.

The man grinned. ''To win a war. I made a deal with a certain someone, and in order to get what I want, I need you to aid me in this fight.''

I chuckled and let go of his neck, pushing him back. ''And why would I help you?'' I questioned. ''I have no reason to listen to you.''

The way the man smiled after I said that truly sickened me. He was very disturbing. ''But you do have a reason.'' he muttered. ''Don't you want to help a friend? He is fighting very hard at the moment.''

''A friend?'' I chortled, raising my brows slightly in both amusement and confusion. ''I don't have any of those shitty friends.''

''Is that so?'' He mumbled. ''I'm very sure the two of you were very close.''

My eyes widened slightly, and I stopped chuckling. Once again, my eyes narrowed into a glare, which was directed at the man. He laughed, knowing I had realised it already.

''That's right, Suzume-chan!'' he exclaimed. ''He is also here,

Uchiha Madara!"

PLEASE READ!

If you've read 'Mito's Sister', you know this already, but this story will be different than usual. The first chapter takes place in the present, and the second one will take place in the past. The third chapter will be in the present again and the fourth in the past and so on.

If there are any questions about the events in this chapter, they will probably be answered in the future chapters. I say all this in advance to avoid confusion.

Also, the chapters will probably vary in length. I don't know if every chapter will make the 1000 words, which is usually the minimum amount of words for me. Some chapters will be longer and some shorter.

Then there is also about when I update. I usually update once a week, but when I have a lot to do for school, I have to give school priority. I'm not doing very well, and if I don't keep my grades a bit high, it is possible that I won't be able to enter the university I want to go to. So please understand that I also have other things besides Wattpad.

That was all! I hope you enjoyed the first chapter and please let me know what you think :)
