I woke up in a strange room. The room was very dim, with only a medium sized light on the ceiling. After a minute or so, I was able to make out another figure in the other corner of the room. "H..hello?" I said, scared. "Ah, I see you're awake." The figure said. "Wh..who are you? Why am I here?" I sputtered out. "Ah, do not worry about me, darling. I brought you here because I love to play this little game. You stay in here with me for 24 hours. If you say or do the wrong thing, you die. If you manage to befriend me, I might let you stay alive." "Wh.. But why am I here?" "Ask yourself that question."
I thought a little bit about the recent things I had done. It actually made pretty good sense. I haven't been studying lately, so I've been getting bad grades. I haven't been listening to my parents either... Hm, I guess that's why. "I'm sorry." I said. "Don't say that to me. That won't help you here." He said, in a scary kind of tone. "Can you please tell me who you are?" "Me? Why, darling, I'm Jeff the Killer. Perhaps you've heard about me." "Y..you? J..j.. What?!! How?" "Many have said that... And don't worry... You'll be fine if you manage to say the right things..." He walked up to me. I saw his eyes. They were horrifying. His smile.. Way to large for me. But I tried not to die. So I smile and said. "Hello, nice to meet you. Im Darcy." And I held out my hand. He shook it. "Nice to meet you, Darcy." He sat down right next to me. I started feeling a little uneasy. "So what brings you here, Darcy?" "Well, I'll be honest with you. I haven't been a very good person lately. I've been getting bad grades and I haven't been listening to my parents or teachers. I really regret it now, though. I wish I could go back and change everything." "Oh really?" "Yeah." "And why shouldn't I kill you? I've got this nice blade right here." "He stroked his knife and showed it to me. "Well, I don't know. That's really up to you to decide, Jeff. But I'm a good person, too! Every month, I try to give my savings to charity a-" "what kind of charity?" "Cancer kids..." "Oh, that's a waste of money. Those children will die anyways." "Maybe you're right, but sometimes it's better to help others than be selfish." "That's true." Jeff said.
