I sobbed silently, gripping the foam coffee cup in my hand. She tried to kill herself. The image was stuck in my head, no matter how bad I wished it away it remained in my head, playing through every time I closed my eyes. The only thing that kept me together was the possibility of the surgery being a success, but we wouldn't know until she woke up, if she wakes up that is. The doctors said that it's highly possible that she would, but when she does she would most likely wake up with Amnesia. Hot tears streamed down my face as I replayed the good times and bad times me and Gabriella.

"Ash," Gabriella said, letting out a toothy smile. "Guess what." her eyes twinkling with joy and excitement. Before I could even let the word 'what' roll off of my tounge. She threw her bookbag down and hopped into my lap (a not so small squeal emitting from my person). She pulled a crumbled white piece of paper out of her pocket and shoved it at me. My eyes racked over messy writings and little drawings of hearts and stars, before casting down to a giant red 'A+' written in the middle ًًof the paper. A wide smile spread onto my face, exposing the deep dimples in my cheeks.
"You did so good sunshine," I said advertating my eyes from the scribbled on spelling test to the amber eyed girl. "I'm so proud of you!" I squealed, bopping the tip of her nose. She giggled and brushed her almost-white Blond hair out of her face.
"How come your-," she stopped with the question and looked like she was deep in thought. "How come your eyes are the colour of the ocean, and mine aren't?" she said looking up at me with a dash of confusion. I let out a almost silent laugh as I thought of a
good way to explain what she wanted to know without confusing the first grader with genetics and cross breeding and all the science stuff I had learned in school. So I setteled with,
"Because no two persons can be just alike, without being twins. We're already so similar, princess." She only smiled and nodded before hopping of my lap before running down the hallway towards her room.

"No Gabriella!" I yelled at the eleven-year old girl , before turning back towards the cooker, a continuation of breakfast. Trying to ignore the younger girl. "You are going to school and that's final."
"But I feel sick!" she yelled back , feigning a cough. "I have worst cough and my head hurts so bad." she moaned, slouching aginst the granite counter top. I walked over to her placing the back of my hand onto her forehead.
"Liar," I frowned, turning back to the, now, fully cooked eggs, dividing them onto to differnt plates (one with strawberry jam covered toast and one with a buttered croissant). "What's so bad about school, well I mean besides the teachers. Oh god the teachers.." I mumbled, sighing with annoyance and rolling my eyes.
"It's not the teachers," Gabriella whispered incoherently.
"What?" I asked, not sure what she had just said. "oh. You're not being bullied are you?!" I hurried, turning around franticaly and grabbing her shoulders. My ocean blue Irisses glinting with worry. When she didn't answer me I grabbed my phone, dialing the schools number.
"No!" she screamed an I pulled the device from my ear, tilting my head in confusion. "Just! Stop trying to pry into my life! You went here before mum and dad died so why are you here now?! Pretening to care for me?! Just stop!" she pulled at her hair in frustration before storming away.
"Brie!" I called, but she was already gone, slamming the mahogany door on her way out.
