THE DEPTHS OF A DREAM

I woke up to the darkness and the sound of heavy breathing, I asked if anyone was there but the heavy breathing continued. . I ventured the darkness until the breathing stopped, I was frightened, I was afraid I was dead, for once I was afraid of the darkness.

I was drowning in the light of the stars, staring into the darkness when I suddenly saw Caroline, my sweet Caroline..."CAROLINE!!!" I raced towards her and gave her a hug, she giggled  then said " you know, it wasn't your fault" she closed her eyes and layed in my arms. I smiled and kissed her on the forehead, but Caroline turned into ash and dust as I stood paralyzed. The scene changed and things blew up in flames. Houses were on fire and bodies were burnt black. People were running in terror while ablaze and all I could do was watch. I wanted to help, help this town and its people but all that I could, all that I did... was burn I Burned them down, killed them with an evil grin that touched ear to ear. I knew this wasn't me, could it have? Then I realize that it was me, another me. I watched him kill as the terror ran on. Caroline was there, she was running towards me. I wanted to tell her to run get out of here and be safe and...{BOOnG}{CLinKING}...., I was I...I shot the only person I loved.... and now she's, gone... It was bloody, she was bleeding, she had a hole in her head, and her brain was oozing from the hole where the bullet hit. She was screaming"Why? I ThOUghT YouU LovEe MEe.." it was echoing in my head as I cried on my knees, Caroline is dead, and it's all because of me.

I opened my eyes once again, in a room with someone by the bedside. I was wondering who it was, it was to bright to make out who it was, my head started throbbing and i felt like throwing up. The person then put a towel on my head. When the dizziness wore off, I saw that the person was a woman, but I could not make out her face.
"Where am I?"
"You're in a hospital, and i'm your nurse. Why? Do you know?"
"Um... no, not quite."
" Some Gentleman brought you here. He said He found you in the forest, knocked out cold."
"Sounds about right."
I tried to focus on her face a little bit more, and then, I could see. Her face was burned. I screamed in terror, then found myself back in the darkened room. Why is this happening, what did I do. Then I saw Caroline again.
"NO... stay back!!"
She told me, "Its ok, Im here for you, You're not alone. It wasn't your fault"
"God damn RIGHT about that!!" I don't know why I screamed at her, but I did. I then felt my hand on the trigger, I didn't point it at her, but the bullet still hit. She phased away and appeared next to me, on her knees, begging.
"Why? Why are you doing this?"
I was looking down at her, no words could be heard, but I knew she could see them through my eyes. She looked like she understood. Then, there was a moment of true silence. She faded away.

When the last tears hit the ground, He reappeared. I saw him once more. I saw the coldness, I heard the screams, I saw the blood and darkness with the hard wound of flesh.
"You're a dead man!! You hear me! You're DEAD!!"
"HahhHAHa"
"Stop fooling around AND ShoW YoURSeLF!"
"HAHahaHAHaHA, You think its that easy? I gave you a gift and yet you stand here ranting away about your beloved {Caroline}"
"Don't TALK about Caroline!! Go back to HeLL!!!"
"HMMHAAAHUUHEE"
"Stop laughin, Stop!!" My head felt like exploding into a million pieces.
"HahahahAHAHAhaHAHAHA"
"ARRRGG!"
"HAHAhaHA"
Then another voice appeared, it was hard and cold Like a fork on ice.
"Do Not let him fool you, your soul is stronger than this!"
I knew that it was Krul.
"Krul what are you doing here?!"
"You are in the depths of a dream!"
"What is that supposed to mean!?"
"You are in the Abyss, were a dead man lives, and where you should not be...What are you doing here anyways!!?"
"I don't know, I was knocked out and that's all I remember."
"Then you must go now!"
Krul swung his arm at me, landing a punch. It hit so hard his fist cut my cheek. Then I felt whesey. The last thing I saw was Krul dueling  with Death. I was finally emerging from the depths of my dream.
