A poem to Cory Monteith

Our saddened tears fall down our cheeks

We were once, and forever will be gleeks

Your name will go on forever more

Now with the angels, that's where you soar

So when the thunder sounds we know you are drumming

And your fantastic songs we will be humming

You left this earth way to soon

Your love for us spreads to the moon

We are the underdogs and couldn't be prouder

Because you taught us that love is louder

You shined the light in the darkest places

And put smiles on all of our faces

I try my best to hold my tears

Because I might come face to face with you in a matter of years

My heart breaks for his fiancé who was left on this earth

But he left a legend for what it was worth

Now you roam with the stars

Enough talent to stretch to Mars

Here I say my final goodbyes

If anyone said they expected this, then they would be lies

You'll find eternity amongst you as you start to roam

Now Heaven is forever your home
