Disclaimer: This started off as an English project but I really enjoyed writing it and thought it could blossom into something more. So here it is, enjoy!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A walk in the woods helps me relax and release the tension. The fact that I'm dragging a body behind me should be irrelevant. I sit next to a tree stump and set the body down. I close my eyes and the past 24 hours flash before me. I didn't mean to kill him, I just let my anger get the best of me. This always happens but this time it went much to far.

The police will be looking for him soon. I need a place to dispose of the body, and fast.

Think..... Think I say to myself. And then I heard the sirens.

I can't run fast enough with the body dragging me down, and leaving the body here is not an option. I suppose my only option is to sit here and accept my dreadful fate.

The sirens are getting louder and louder by the second. So loud I think my eardrums might burst. There's at least five police cars heading my way. How did they find me so quickly?

Suddenly the sirens stop.

I hear voices.

My worst fears are coming true.

There has to be a way I can stop them.

I could use my gun. I can't bear the thought of killing another person but I will do what I have to in order to survive. I'm not even sure there's any bullets still in it.

The voices are getting louder and louder. They have to be a few feet away from me. This is my only chance. I stand up and point to the first officer I see. Instantly there is a searing pain in my left leg.

I look down.

Dogs! Of course they would bring dogs.

I try to shake the dog off my leg but am unsuccessful. I didn't want to do this but I know it's either me or the dog. I close my eyes and pull the trigger.

Without looking back I try to run but fall before taking my third step. I look at my wound and see blood oozing from my leg. I think I can see bone.

I feel dizzy.

I see black spots everywhere.

I try to get up and run when everything goes black.

~~~
I wake up to a blinding light and let my eyes focus. The room is completely enclosed with no windows or doors. I am sitting in a chair, there is a spotless white table and a man sitting in front of me.
"I see you took quite the fall." he speaks in a quiet tone
"Don't worry about your injuries we have healed them for you."
I look at my leg. Not even a scar.
"Now we don't want to overwhelm you too much so we'll start off with some easy questions. What is your name?"
I ponder on the question.
I can't think, I don't know.
My head is spinning .
"Sir..? uhh.. Sir?"
"I DON'T KNOW" I scream and stand up. I hurl the chair across the room. The man stands up and slowly pushes in his chair.
"That will be all" he states
I go to reach out for him but he vanishes in thin air. The lights turn off and I am in the darkness, alone. I cry for help but no one hears my screams.
~~~

It feels like its been days, maybe weeks. I haven't seen any life or light since the incident with the man. They have not given me any food or water and I feel very weak. I sit in the blackness waiting to die or for someone to rescue me.
