"Bailey, I'll be closing the office early. I need to head to the hospital to check on Tyler. So finish up that last case, head home, and rest."
Mr. Johnson said to officer Moris."Thank you sir. I wish you the best of luck to your son. Hope he gets well."
"No problem. Now you get home and take care of those wonderful kids of yours and your good husband."
"I will sir." Officer Moris finished up the case and headed home. Sheriff Johnson was the last one at the office. He gathered up his things, locked up everything and left the office. He was now in his car getting ready to leave to the hospital.
Jonathan waited there for everyone to leave the office. As soon as he left, he began to unlock the door with the ring of keys Tyler gave him. As he got in, he locked himself inside so just in case someone did happen to come back, they wouldn't notice that the door was open. He did the same for the Sheriffs office. He look every for those extra copies. He went towards the filing cabinet. The only thing was, he forgot what key to use for the cabinet. He had to look through every key.
Mr. Johnson noticed he had forgotten his favorite coffee mug. He got out of the car and walked slowly back into the police department. He unlocked the door and slowly started to headed down his office. Jonathan finally found the key. And as soon as he opened the cabinet, the case was right there. As he reached for the case, Sheriff Johnson arrived. As slick Jonathan always is, it happened that he had gotten the file fast enough to close it and stuff it in his shirt. Jonathan's back was facing Sheriff Johnson. Jonathan noticed he was there. "Jonathan what the hell are you doing in my office??!" As slick as Jonathan always is, he thought of a lie; and he thought of it quick! "Um Tyler wanted me to come and uh-" he immediately went for the picture of him, Tyler and Tyler's mom. "To come and take his favorite picture!" Sheriff Johnson looked at him suspiciously and said, "Why?" "Because he has a surprise for you!!" "Right. Well, best hurry and go do your surprise thing... Just try not to end up with seventeen broken bones again please!" "Hey we were only twelve! Besides! We were curious!! We wanted to see if we had superpowers!!" "And you think jumping off a two story roof could prove it?!" "Hey it worked didn't it?!" "Yeah sure it did." Sheriff Johnson said with a grin on his face.
"Okay! I've good news and bad news! The good news is I got the file. The bad news is, now you're gonna have to think of a surprise with this picture..." "God damn it Jonathan, you had one job! Damn now I'm gonna have to go buy my dad a present!"
"So figuratively speaking, this must all lead up to Darling Farren. His first murder. She lived just around the corner. Arthur lived in his mothers basement. So my conclusions are, they're either at his old house in the basement, or Darling's house."
"She's in the basement."
