I quickly untied the boy, I pointed my blade to the door, but he didn't move. "What are you doing? Get out of here." I said quietly. He still didn't move, all he did was stare at me. "What's wrong with you, kid? A killer is sparing your life and letting you walk out. I'm letting a witness go, and you wont even take the opportunity?" I said as my voice filled with rage.

"But, why?" Nathan asked again. I sighed loudly, and got to my feet. "That's your favorite word, ain't it?" I barked. I walked to my front door, and opened it. "There, freedom. Now, leave." I said. Nathan didn't move, and it really started to tick me off. I slammed the door behind me, and walked to where Nathan was sitting. I put my knife to his neck, "Are you deaf?". Nathan didn't seem as scared as before, he looked concerned. "Why are you giving me that look?" I said angrily. Nathan gulped, and stood silent.

"Do.. you live here alone?" He finally asked. My eyes widened at his question, and I pushed the knife closer to him. "Why the hell do you care?" I said. This kid is getting me mad. I don't usually get this annoyed, but he's just not listening to me. If a killer wanted to spare your life, you would leave, right? I don't even know why I'm letting this smart ass go. "Well.. no kid should live alone in a house." Nathan said.

"I'm not a kid!" I yelled, and Nathan instantly became scared again. " I'm a killer! I ain't even human no more! Humans don't kill people like I do!" I yelled. I don't know why, but what he said burned a fire inside of me. It made me so frustrated, I didn't care if he'd live. I wanted to decapitate him, right then and there.

"Okay, then why did you decide to let me go?" Nathan said, as he calmed down a bit. "Excuse me?" I answered. What did that have to do with anything?! "If you're not human, and you're a killer, you would have killed me. But, you let me live. Why is that?" He asked. He had that smirk on his face. How annoying! How could you be so confident when a blade is pointed to your neck?!

"I-" I started, but my mind stopped me. Why did I decide to let him go? Everyone who came before me died, except this boy. Nobody could last ten minutes with me, but this boy has lasted way longer than that. I'm not human, because I murder people, but I cant bring myself to hurt him. I guess it's because I killed his father, and he doesn't know. Earlier, he said his mother died... like mine. He only had his father left... and I took that away from him. That's why I cant kill Nathan! Although... I need to tell him I killed his father, or else he'll leave this place thinking he's still alive.

"Because..." I started, my armed lowered, and my knife dropped to the floor. "I cant.. kill.. you." I said, shutting my eyes. "Why?" Nathan asked. At that moment, my eyes opened up. I cant tell him... "I guess that is your favorite word. Do you really need an explanation? Just be glad you're still breathing." I barked. Nathan laughed, "I guess I don't." he got to his feet, and looked at me again.

"How can you laugh in a situation like this? You were going to get killed, and you just, laugh?" I said, as I started to get annoyed again. Nathan laughed again, his laugh was getting real annoying. "I don't know why I did it, I just did it." He replied. I rolled my eyes, and got my knife. "So, will you be okay here alone?" Nathan asked.

"Get out of here! Now!" I growled. I cant believe he would just sit there and try to talk to me after I almost killed him. How stupid could you really be?! "Hey, I just asked you a question." He said quietly. "Why wont you leave?!" I said walking over to him. I was about a inch away from his face, I stared him down with dirty eyes, and he was calm. "Well... you shouldn't be alone." He replied. Was he serious? Was he thinking about staying here? At this point I was too mad to put into words. If he didn't leave, I'll make him want to leave.

"Listen here, Nathan, I killed your father and I'll do the same damn thing to you. So I'd advise you to leave, unless you want to be with your father's corpse!" I yelled as I pushed Nathan to the floor, close enough to the door where he could crawl out. Nathan didn't move, he sat on the floor, pale and silent. My eyes lit up, and my smile grew bigger when he tried to speak. Instead of speaking, tears flooded from his eyes, instantly making my smile vanish.

"Get it? Now, leave." I said quietly. That feeling came back, but it was ten times worse. I had to ignore it though, I was letting this kid go because of this feeling, and I might go to jail for it. Obviously after knowing I killed his father, he would go to the police, and I'd get locked up. I was risking my neck here... but it's the only thing I could do for him. What's wrong with me? I've been killing people since I was ten years old, and now is when I decide to crack? Well... I guess mother would have hated me doing this. So maybe this kid could tell the police, and take me from this place where I'm forced to kill people.

When I looked over my shoulder, Nathan was still here. He was still crying, and wasn't moving! "Hey kid, can you hear correctly? Don't you know how to walk? Get out!" I yelled. His cries died down a bit, then he finally looked at me. His eyes were filled with loneliness, and sadness. Which is odd, I would feel mad if I was in his position! "Where am I suppose to go? Both my mother and father are dead. My other family members treated me and my parents as outcasts, because my father borrowed too much money from them. I haven't had contact with them since my mother died, which was four years ago! Where am I suppose to go?! I have no one! You might as well kill me now!"

"You just want to die?" I asked. "But, you can go to a orphanage and get a new family! You dont have to die." I continued. Nathan didn't listen at all, he just got up, and walked closer to me. He grabbed my hand, and pointed my knife to his chest. "I don't want to live with strangers! I want to be with my parents, and I cant do that now! Just kill me! You're not human right? So this should be easy for you!" Nathan yelled pulling my hand closer to him. I tried to keep pulling the knife away from him, but he was persistant. "Stop!" I screamed, and just like that, I snatched my hand away, and I cut Nathan's arm. Blood trickled down his arm, as he looked at it, he instantly fell to the floor.

"What the hell?!" I yelled, throwing the knife to the other side of the room. I ran up to Nathan, he passed out, and the cut wasn't even all that deep. "Why am I helping him?" I said as I got up and fetched a old shirt I out grew. I tied it where his cut was, and cleaned his arm. "What a wuss..." I said quietly.
