The Cursed Child

Darkness rises day by day
Laughter fades the same way.
Happiness now no where to be seen
No ray of light or a happy beam.

Sadness drowns me inch by inch
No space for love within.
I raise my hand but no one's there
To hold it and comfort me.

Childhood memories: they make me cry
Tears now have run dry.
'Failure' is what they labelled me with
'Perfect' is what they wanted me to be.

Just feel like to consume poison
Would it be unison?
Can't bear the pain anymore
Want to walk out, out of the door.

Leaving hurting memories behind
Want someone true to be by my side.
To tell me it's going to be alright.

After what happened it's hard to forget
The loneliness which once enveloped me,
The tears that ran down my cheeks.

The time when my own mother refused to carry me,
The time when my own father pretended not to know me.
Hard to forget all those times,
When everyone betrayed me.

Love was a distant thing that time
That broke whenever I tried to hold it.
'Ugly' is what they called me
'Beauty' is what I lacked in.

Sometimes you want to run away,
Away from life.
Leaving hurting memories behind,
The feeling of eyes being wet by the moisture of tears.

Sleeping with hopes
But waking up and seeing them shatter,
Around you and around your life.

And this is why they called me 'The Cursed Child'.

The truth to be told: the pain of being lonely and forgotten is the hardest to bear.
You are lucky, if you live a life full of happiness and satisfaction.

Being around the people you love
And knowing that it's not fake.

They hold your hands on theirs
And tell you that they love you.
You are lucky you live a life
Far away from fears.

And the 'Blessed Ones' are you in my eyes full of tears,
Cause I could never live a life like that
Hope it feels good to live like that.
