It was time.

They both knew this day would come. It was the day they had to say goodbye.

After 5 long years of working together. 6 movies, 2 teleseryes, and countless commercials/print ads, it was over. They had reached the point of fame where they no longer needed the loveteam, and they no longer needed each other.

James and Nadine sat quietly in the board room beside each other. The room was dead silent. In the room sat Caryl, Barbie, even the people who helped them along the way including Jelly and the rest of their everyday crew. Everyone knew what was going to happen, yet they didn't know how it would go out.

2 years into the loveteam, James and Nadine knew they felt something for each other. There was always a spark between the both of them but of course, was ignored. They knew the consequences of their actions and they both avoided the topic at all times.

4 years into the loveteam, their relationship as friends, as partners, and as whatever they called it expanded even more. Both of them didn't know if they could handle the silence anymore, yet both of them still ignored the feeling.

Now, they were sitting in the quiet room after 5 years. Both of their heads facing down, James was mindlessly scrolling through his instagram feed, trying to shake off the feeling he had deep down inside. Nadine on the other hand, was in deep thought, and was playing with her fingers, trying her best not to feel awkward as everyone was staring at them.

"Alright everyone, sorry I'm late." Boss Vic walked into the room, holding multiple folders and an IPad.

"I'm sure you all know why we're here. This has surely been an incredible 5 years, but it's time to put it to an end."

That one sentence was enough to break through Nadine's walls, and she realized it as soon as she felt a tear fall down her cheek. Nadine was quick to calmly wipe it off with one hand and James was even quicker to grab hold of her other hand, gripping it tightly as if assuring her that he was there.

Boss Vic set up his IPad to flash on the video screen, and a video started playing. It was a video of their journey as a loveteam, and throughout the entire video, there was nothing heard but the sobs of some people sitting down in the room, including Nadine.

5 years may seem like a long time, but it definitely wasn't enough for Nadine. She regretted every single time she didn't tell James that she loved him. She regretted every single time she wasn't there when James was lonely.

The same went for James. They had a lot of joke time together, but the words "I love you" never seemed to fit into the conversation. He knew that he loved her. He knew that his feelings for her were much stronger than "just friends". He had realized that a long time ago, yet it was too late to tell her now.

Once the video had ended, Boss Vic spoke up once again, being the only person to talk in the room for the third time.

"I have no further words. James, Nadine, this has been a great experience, and it's surely not over. I'm definitely going to see more of you two in this industry, am I right?" He said with a smile. Nadine and James just nodded and tried their best to pull the upper corners of their mouths up, even just a little.

One by one, everyone filed out of the room except for the two.

"So uh-"

"Yeah I-"

They both looked at each other with wide eyes, and laughed it off. Nadine's eyes were still teary from her emotions and her sniffing was still evident.

"Hey, don't cry. Whatever happens, partners-in-crime, right?" James said, with a goofy smile on his face.

"Haha, yeah. Partners-in-crime."

At that moment, everything was okay again, with them staring into each other eyes with smiled plastered on their faces, it seemed as if nothing had ended.

Nadine pulled in James for a hug, and taking in his scent, trying to memorize it.

They both knew. Even if it was never mentioned, their feelings for each other would not waiver. They both knew that they loved each other even if no words were said.

They didn't know what the future would bring. Maybe they wouldn't get together at all, or maybe they would turn into strangers after a few years. Maybe they would even end up together, maybe even get married and have a mini James or mini Nadine or maybe (probably) even both.

Nothing and no one could be 100% sure of the future, but one thing was for sure. This was not the end for James and Nadine.
