"Klaus, brother, we cannot keep this charade up. It's only a matter of time before someone see's her. Or she runs off telling the world who we are." Elijah spoke lifting a hand out.

Alex laid half awake on the ground. She barley could see anything. She could only see the three of them arguing.

"Elijah what's the harm? I could just compel her to forget or Rebekah may just eat her." Klaus said with his hands moving to his hips.

"Enough, both of you. This girl shouldn't be here. It's not safe. And Klaus, every time a woman is involved you know what happens." Rebekah said earnestly to Klaus.

His arms fell to his sides. He stood dead still. His head sulked down and he placed a hand over his chin. His index finger laying gently over his bottom lip.

"Look, I am just worried about you. You have been though a lot in the last century or two." Rebekah said.

She walked over and hugged Klaus softly. He hugged her back. Elijah walked around and over. He didn't join into the hug. But he went to look at Alex.

"So this is Alex Moon." Elijah said and he grabbed her and lifted her up.

"Oomph." She said.

"Ah, our guest is awake. Hello, my name is Elijah. You have already met my sister Rebekah and brother Niklaus." Elijah said to the half awake Alex.

"Now now. Don't mind me." Said a voice from above.

Alex looked but couldn't see anyone. She was confused and scared. Suddenly the sound of wind flew past her ear. A dark man appeared. He wasn't as tall as Klaus, but he was beautiful.

"Hi. My name is Marcel." He smiled with his white teeth.

Alex's breath was caught in her throat. His skin was a dark chocolate brown. It was smooth and she could feel the heat radiating from him. His features were pronounced and strong. His eyes were a brown color, but there was more than one shade.

"What's your name?" Marcel asked.

"M-my name is, um, Alex Moon." Alex stuttered.

"Nice to meet you Alex." Marcel smiled nicely, he grabbed her hand and kissed it softly.

Alex's body heated up. Her pale white and rosy red checks turned into a fire red face. Klaus had an angry look at him. That only made her blush even more.

"Klaus I wanna go home." Alex said after her mind came back to her.

"Anything for you love." He smiled again and yanked her away from Marcel.

Alex couldn't help it though. She was attracted to Marcel in a way. Her parents never liked it when she crushed on boys who were black or any other race. They weren't racist, but they all usually trashy looking couples. The girls had impacts and, or, were fat in places that were gross.

Alex looked at Klaus as he walked her home. He wasn't smiling or talking to her. Instead he had a look of disapproval. Like he knew she found Marcel attractive.

"Klaus it's nothing." Alex said.

"Nothing. Then why are you blushing at the sight of him. Or thinking about him." Klaus's voice was angry.

"No, no." Alex yanked out.

"Alex come on. Stop this nonsense." Klaus was annoyed.

"No you listen. Everyone always assume things about me. People assumed I'm the reason my parents are dead because of who I am. People have given me labels. Well I have them one too for me, scene. I am a scene. For me, their label is jerk. Since I was thirteen I've never had a real friend." Alex was beginning to cry.

Klaus walked over to her and hugged her. She tried to escape but was to weak to fight his strength. She cried into his arms until she fell asleep. Klaus lifted her up and brought her home.

He laid her down in her bed, lifting the covers and tucking her in. She moved around to her side and faced Klaus. Subconsciously she extended a hand out for him. He moved a little farther. She reached farther and grabbed his hand.

"Klaus, stay." Alex mumbled in her sleep.

"No, I can't." He said trying to leave her to rest.

"Please." She pleaded.

Klaus realized she was really and truly asleep. She wouldn't remember this or would think it was a dream. He sat down beside her lifting the covers. His legs touched her frozen ones. She wrapped around his warm body.

She laid her head on his chest and he placed a hand on her head. He stroked her hair lightly afraid to wake her. Before he knew it she was dead asleep. He shifted and stood next to her. He smiled.

The wind swirled and suddenly he was gone. Alex woke up and saw her balcony curtains swish outwards. She went to the doors and looked outside. No one was out there.

She thought for a moment but couldn't remember what she had done that day. She blinked. She closed and locked the doors. She turned to see her dark apartment. It was calm and peaceful. She went back to bed and closed her steal grey eyes.
