8:00 am.

"There are sooooooo many trees! Which tree is it?" Hunter asked for the millionth time.

I give him a dark look. "I've already told you a million times and I am telling you again, it's in a clearing in the woods near a water fall. Ask me one more time and I won't hesitate to kill you" I threaten him, feeling annoyed.

He smirks and asks "Which tree is it?"

"Ugh! That's it! You better run now!" I tell him as I extend my hands and mimic strangling notions.

He laughs out loud and makes a run for it. I start running after him. I chase him, laughing, until we reach a clearing.

Not just any clearing, our clearing.

Chase and I's clearing.

I flash back to the times we used to come here.

We were so happy. So in love.

But then again, all good things have to come to an end, don't they?

"Hey! Which one is it?" Hunter's voice successfully pulls me out of my thoughts as he waves a hand in front of my face.

"Oh, come on, I'll show you" I tell him while I move towards the back of the waterfall.

"Don't tell me the tree is where I think it is" Hunter says with a shaky voice.

"Nope. It's not on top of the waterfall. Don't worry" I inform him.

"Phew" Hunter pretends to wipe nonexistent sweat off his brow.

"There is an area just behind the waterfall. The tree is there" I tell him while leading him there.

"So this is the secret place you guys would disappear off to" he says and his voice echoes all around us because we are standing at the entrance of a cave, right next to the tree.

"Yup, this is it. Our secret lair" I answer him.

"Who else knows about this place" Hunter asks out of pure curiosity.

"You, me and him." Emphasis on the 'him' part.

"Aww, stop it. You're making me blush" He replies while fanning his face with his hands. (Get the reference, girl?)

"Stop being a drama queen and climb the damn tree" I tell him while climbing the tree.

"Won't I be a drama king, though?" he questions.

"You come under both the categories" I reply.

Ooh.

Burn.

While searching through the whole we made I faintly hear Hunter say "Did anyone ever tell you just how exceptionally mean you are?" but, I ignore him. I can't be bothered to answer him.

My hand touches a piece of paper and I squeal in surprise and pull it out.

"Found it!" I exclaim.

"Open it up! Open it up!" Hunter squeals back with equal surprise and joy.

I slowly open the folded piece of paper with my eyes shut tight dreading all the negative possibilities. I pop open an eye and see that there is some writing on the paper.

It say: CLUE# 1.

CHECK WITH THE MANAGER OF THE LOCAL CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN.

Why Christian Louboutin? Because I know you love high heels.

Also, this will be the first clue that will begin the adventure that will take you to many different cities and countries throughout the whole world. Surprise!?

Well, looks like Hunter and I have our work cut out for us.

Although, I couldn't help but notice that he said 'your Chase'.

I hope that he not under the impression that I will forgive him so easily and welcome him with open arms. When I find him, I am going to give him a piece of my mind.
