The mess hall was crowded as (y/n) walked in, still shaky from the flood of memories that she'd experienced mere moments ago.
Table after table she'd passed, and every single one fell silent as she did. Soon enough, no one dared speak. All of them followed her long strides with their eyes, not even daring to blink.
(Y/n) wasn't surprised by this. Not in the least.
It was rare that she entered the mess hall at all, for she preferred the cool darkness of her own barracks over the noisy clamor of voices and clatter of silverware on plates.
All eyes were still on her,now accompanied by murmurs, even as she held her tray in her hands and was now walking towards a table in the corner of the hall, the one that trainees abandoned the second that she entered.
Her table.
(Y/n) stabbed at the gelatinous mass that was labeled 'soup' with her spoon and raised it to her lips when something collided with her temple.
She looked down at her soup to find a piece of crumpled paper sitting on the mush, already soaking up its grease, making it oily and see-through.
Cautiously, she picked it up and began to unfold it, when she looked up abruptly.
The boy who was laughing had shut up now, and was looking at her with the same blank expression that everyone else in the room shared.
(Y/n) looked back down and delicately peeled back the paper to prevent it from ripping, to find a string of letters staring back at her.
social outcast.
That's when it started. The it that every trainee was fearing. What the idiot boy was waiting for. What he and his bastard friends were waiting for. It.
Red. She saw red. Then, darkness.Cold, she thought, Why is it so cold?
It seemed like her eyes awakened before the rest of her.
She sat in a cell, a dark one, but nonetheless, a cell.
There she sat, chained to the wall, looking out a line of steel bars meant to keep her, and the poor sap who'd been there before, from getting out.
She squinted and felt something restrict her eyebrows from going down easily. Dried blood?
"She's in here,'' spoke a harsh voice.
"Thank you Nile,'' said another much calmer voice.
As (y/n)'s vision cleared, she saw two men appear outside the bars in front of her.
One was short and had a glare that would make titans drop dead, while the other one had a sympathetic smile on his lips.
"Wh-where am I?'' Asked the girl in fear.
"Tch, is she so stupid that she doesn't even know where she is?''
"Hush, Levi. Remember, we have to explain to her what she's done.''
Before the short one could reply, another man appeared, making the girl's eyes widen.
"(Y-y-n)?'' Asked the new man.
(Y-n) could not reply, for her voice failed her.
Eren Jager was staring at her from behind the bars.
