chapter 9: true colors

He left me in the nurses office... All alone.. Do you not love me? Am I nothing to you? Why did you leave me for her? A bunch of questions swirl through my head as i walk down the halls aimlessly. the are a bunch of halls to wander though but only one caught my eye. this hall way was really long, like football field long. *tap tap tap slip* OUCH! i fell over a water puddle in the hallway. "UGH!" i groan while i walk to nurses office to get a change of cloths. luckily akria wasn't there this time or so i thought. the nurse was with another student. the way she was standing blocked my view of the student. "um.. excuse me, i need a change of cloths. i slipped on water and got completely soaked." when she turned around i saw who she was tending to... it was akria! his left cheek was bright red. "oh my! you do look wet. come sit down. i'll find an extra uniform." the seat she was pointing to was next to akria. "um.... okay, but can you hurry? i'm freezing!" i walk over to the chair and sit.

"what happened? Mae ditch you?" i said with a hint of anger.

"why do u say that? im with you not her. Mae slapped me because.." he trails off.

"because?.." i push in deeper.

"because i was with-" he stops his sentence.

"with?" come on

"with you! are you that stupid?!" I've never heard akria shout before.

"I've found one! but its a totally different pattern. do you want to wear it? I've found a matching male uniform too. do you want to wear it too akria?" the nurse brings out a the girl uniform first. it had a black skirt, a white tee, black blazer with white outlines, a tie and knee long socks.

"yes! yes! yes! a million times yes!!" i L.O.V.E.D it! i waited until she brought out akria's.

" he'll wear it!" i answered for akria. once she handed my one i asked " can i wear this instead of the regular uniforms?"

she thought about it. "hmm.... i dont see why not."

"Yay!!" I squeal with delight. I rush to the changing room and walk out and look at the mirror.

"Kyaaa! Its so pretty!" I twirl and pose until akria comes out looking so cute.

"I like it." akria says while attempting his tie.

"let me." i lean forward and reach up. i tie it but before i step back akria kisses my forehead. 

"thanks yukina" akria hugs me tightly. "Look, Mae and me are friends. Nothing more. Your very special to me. You are everything to me. She's just lost, I'm helping her find friends." I hug akria back.

"That's nice." I give a cute smile. "Want to walk?" I grab his hand and open the door. "Thanks for the uniforms, ms.tay." I wave back at the nurse.

We walk down towards the hallway I slipped in. We see a classroom light on and hear two girl's voices.

"I can't believe him!" A girl's voice shouts.

"What did he do?" Another girl says.

"He said that yukina was his and that I'm nothing to him other than a friend. I got so mad that I slapped him." The first girl breaks into sobs.
"All I tried to do was break the up!"

I glance at akria. He looks so sad. There was mae.

"Oh my god!" I shout.

"How dare you, Mae!" Akria shouts as well.

"What are you doing here, akria?" Mae started to worry and panick.

"You tried to split us up? Why-" mae interrupts me.

"You don't understand! You'll NEVER understand! I was all alone and akria was there for me! No one else was! Just him... He was my savior and guardian. I had been though too much to loose him to a silly little girl!" Mae shouts at me accusingly.

Without another word akria leaves and drags me with him. By the time he let's go, we're at the park.

Akria hugs me tightly and leaves. I stand there watching him walk away.

"Sorry you had to hear that, yukina!" He calls back to me, without turning around.

I turn to leave too but I bump into something, or someone.

"Ow! Seriously! You messed up my cool guy entrance! Thanks a lot yukina." Says a familiar voice.
