Two Faces

When day disappears and night falls, it becomes dark, just like your heart. There is beauty in the dark but there's pure evil in yours. Am I a fool? You think I'm not aware of your games, of your spells? As the sun slowly rises in the sky, hesitant to cast light on all that was done in the lulling curtains of the night, I'll slowly, certainly, painfully burn you with the truth. It's a mystery, a true story indeed, how you kept me coming back. You put the rest of the world to sleep with that honey like voice. But that same voice, I know, drips with lies and selfishness. How long will the mask stay on before it cracks, and your eyes bleed with remorse? You hurt me, but no more. I'll linger in the shadows, for now. Though soon, as a snake strikes in the pitch of the night and full of surprise. I will too. I will be the snake that ends your façade, which makes you wither in pain, the same snake that will put you where you belong.
