I was cold, wet, and hungry. My body was exhausted. How much further could I go? The rain was soaking up everything and I kept sliding in the mud. Was I making any progress at all? The lightning danced in the sky as the thunder roared overhead. I remember thinking, "How did I get myself into this mess?" I had to keep moving or he would find me. Who you ask. Lazerith Aphsodel that's who. The psychotic killer himself. What did I, an innocent girl, do ignite his anger? The answer is simple, I looked at my family's killer straight in the eyes, with the burning hatred and told them how bad of a murderer he was to have left me alive. Those words were said in anger, on an impulse and can never be taken back. Those words were spoken by a naïve girl lost in need for vengeance. That girl is now trapped by the same maniac that left her alone in the world. That girl is Violet Sanity.

I was living in the woods surrounded by trees away from civilization. I moved here after I graduated Rosdow high school home of the fierce falcons. I was getting ready to go to Staverse University to study anthropology. It's been five years since the tragic death of my beloved family. I relive their murder in my nightmares. Lazerith Aphsodel was sentence to life in prison without parole. When I heard the news I was unsatisfied, I had wished for the death sentence. But as the saying goes, "You can't always get what you want."

I remember listening to the forecasts, while cooking dinner for myself. When I heard it was going to rain almost all this week, I was exhilarated. Jogging in the rain was one of my few favorite things do. After dinner, I grabbed some water

and headed out to the nice scenery outside my house. I usually jog the easy trail around lake. However I decided to take the trial to the mountain and back for a change. By then it was and sprinkling harder than usual but decided a little rain wasn't going to hurt. As I was jogging I had a strange impression that I was being watched. I slowed to a halt and looked around. Nothing, I saw nothing but trees and bushes. I shrugged the feeling off as paranoia.

About halfway down the trail it started pouring as if little kids had a fire hose at full blast and were shooting water from the sky above. I decided I'd go on, besides I was already more than halfway there. That's when I heard a loud rustle coming from the big bush I had just passed. Warily, I turned around and faced the large bush. As soon as I had faced the bush a man stepped out wielding a sharp short knife pointed at my face. I recognize the face as the one who taunts me in my nightmares. I sharply turned on my heels and ran as fast as I could to put as much distance as I could between me and this cold hearted man who turned my world upside down.

My eyes are blurry so I can't really see anything, the rain and my tears of fear and anger are making it hard to see the path I'm taking. It's getting dark, I have no idea where I'm going and all I know is that I'm being chased by a man that wants me dead. I felt the adrenaline rush through my body as I run into the dark woods. I can't see where I'm walking. I feel something clamp on my ankle and fall I feel this sharp intense pain in my ankle and hear a crack. I feel my ankle to see what's locked on to me. It's a bear trap! I feel my blood trickle down my foot and cry out in anger at the stupidity of the poacher's need to hunt illegally.

I try to pry open the trap with no success. I drag myself and the trap to a bush to hide behind. I'm about a foot from the bush when I hear a voice say, "So we meet again you little brat." I freeze and look at his face sneering at me with a cold look in his eyes that say "I must kill." He comes to me and kicks me in the side twice and then the head that's the last thing I remembered before everything goes black.

I wake up in intense pain and discomfort. I don't feel the extra weight on my ankle that would have been there if the bear trap was still clamped onto me. Unfortunately, I still felt a throbbing pain on my ankle and what made it worse was that my hands and feet were tied up. I look around in a haze and to the right I see a round coffee table next to a couch and a small TV set, to my left is a door that must lead to the bathroom a nightstand with a small decorative green lamp a swamp cooler and a queen size bed with an outline of a sleeping man. I'm in the middle of everything tied up to a chair in what appears to be a small kitchen with a refrigerator a stove a back door and sink. There are no windows that I can see so there goes my chance of figuring out where I am. The body in the bed stirs and slowly wakes up I sit quietly waiting for what's to come.

Lazerith Aphsodel stands in front of me and says, "You finally decided to wake up, I was hoping you would so I would have the chance of killing you just like the rest of your worthless filthy family."

He tells me that he escaped prison and that he escaped just to kill me and tells me exactly how. "First I'm gonna beat you till you're so close to death you can see the grim reaper himself, then I'ma let you get just a tiny bit better so I can gut you slowly so you can feel everything like the filthy animal you are and after, I'ma feed you to the bears in the woods!" I wasn't going to cry to this man I wasn't going to beg to be let go I definitely will scream out in pain because there's no way I'll be able to hold those backs but If I have to go down I'll go down with my dignity intact. And that's how Violet Sanity went down.

My cries were heard my some hikers. Turns out I was in a cabin deeper in the woods than I've ever been. Anyways some hikers heard my cries of pain and called the forest rangers. I was already dead by the time they got there, in fact I was already scattered around the forest because the hikers didn't really have a communicator so they had to hike back to the nearest ranger station and report what they heard. Afterwards the rangers came and caught Lazerith cleaning up all my blood. He confessed to killing me and he did it with a big grin. He was to be sentenced to death on April 12, two and a half weeks after my death. I finally got what I wished for sadly I didn't get to be there in person and watch him die. The good thing is that he is as good as a dead man.
