Prologue

Thump. Thump. Thump. The sound of my heart, beating uncontrollably, echoing around the petite room, as if it were inviting danger. Danger, was my worst enemy. I never wanted to be involved in any of it, but I guess my fate always brought me back to it. Thoughts and memories flood through my mind, trying to take away the thought of me being murdered in just a few minutes. Bringing my exposed legs up to me my chest, I take deep breaths, praying for the life of both mine and my brother Daniel's. Suddenly the third blood-curdling scream that night erupted out of nowhere, giving me no choice but to scramble to the furthest corner while positioning my icy hands to my ears. Failing to block out the sound of my dear brother getting tortured again.

"Where's Aurora?" A muffled, raspy voice shouts. Mason.

"I-I don't know?" Daniel replies as the sound of heavy breathes quickens. The sound of a knife being stabbed somewhere deafens my ears, as Daniel lets out another scream.

"Listen Dans, I'm gonna let you answer my question and if you don't...You're gonna die." A hint of a sickening smile is clear in his voice forcing me to cringe in disgust.

"Please Mason, you aren't like this. I'm sorry that things between you and Aurora didn't work out, but this isn't the way to solve this. Please." Desperation visible through his raspy voice, Daniel continues to speak. "Mase, I see you as a brother, and though you may not, I know that you don't want to do this. So please, let us go." Tears roll down my cheek, knowing that Mason isn't going to let us go this easily.

"HAH! You're right Dan, I don't think of you as a brother. I think of you as my enemy. As the guy who forced his sister to leave the guy she loved." He was wrong, I didn't love him. I loathed him. Every aspect of him. "Why did you do that Dan? Because I was a killer? Because I was involved in drugs and alcohol? Dan. Dan. Dan. That's no reason to separate two lovers." I scoff disagreeing with every word his filthy mouth just uttered.

"Your sick!" Were the last words Daniel could state before he was stabbed ruthlessly by the beast on the other side of the door.

Unable to hold it in any longer, I scream. "DANIEL! No, no,no! Please God, no!" I sprint to the worn out door, tugging the handle with all my force. Nothing. It wouldn't even budge. Of course Daniel knew that this would happen, so he locked the door.

Moving backwards, I get ready to kick the wooden door. Just as I take a step forward, the door swings open, exposing a male silhouette. Shielding my eyes from the light, I take a couple of steps back.

"Mason, please let me go. What did you do to Daniel? Please tell me you didn't kill him." I blabber, scared for my short life. Not replying, the figure steps forward showing his face. It wasn't Mason.

"Zach?" That's all I remember saying, before fainting and feeling a pair of muscular trap themselves securely around my waist.

OK! Calm down, I know it's pretty bad..BUT WAIT! It's gonna get better...I think. Yeah, I had an Ethan Dolan Fan Fic before, but it was all going downhill, so I just decided to leave it, and BAM out came this book. I'm gonna update every Sunday...I think.
