I stepped out of my dad's car. The neighborhood wasn't like anything I expected. It was..nice. My old neighborhood was ratty and looked like garbage, but you got used to it. You would think rich people lived around here. I grabbed the suitcase out of the trunk, and admired the neighborhood some more. I caught a glimpse of a group of boys. Twins were sitting on skateboards, and one guy with a grin on his face was leaning against a house. Why is he grinning? Oh wait, because I'm staring. I look away a quickly walk towards the door to were my dad is standing.

"Ash, I really need you to be nice to your mom. Just promise me you will try. I know she hasn't been here for you, but I-," My father was cut off by the door opening revealing my so-called mother.

"Ashley! It's so nice to finally meet you," She smiles pulling me into a tight hug.

"Yea, Okay," I grumble.

"How have you been Dan?" She asks my father when she finally lets go.

"I'm fine. I would love to chat, but I really have to go," He says quietly. I can tell he feels uncomfortable about talking to her. I mean of course he is, we haven't been a real family in 11 years.

"...Ash, did you hear me?" My father asks pulling me out of my thoughts.

"No, what did you say? Sorry." I mumble.

"I said I love you, and to think about what we talked about." He kissed my forehead and walks to the car.

"Love you too," I say quietly as he leaves the driveway.

"Well, Ash how about you come in and we get you settles, yea?" My mom says breaking the silence.

"Ashley..My name is Ashley," I say pushing past her with my suitcase. I hate the fact that out of all places my dad bring me here. Why here? Out of all places. I could have lived with my grandparents, but no 'they might die soon' my father's words play again in my mind. I follow my other into the room I'll be staying in. When she opens the door I can't help but gasp at the sight.

I mean the house looked amazing on the outside. Of course I'm not going to tell her that, but the inside is just breath-taking. My room is beautiful. It's huge, like a living room almost. It's all white and blue, my favorite color. My dad must have told her.

I had a walk in closet with gorgeous clothes already inside. I never really wear dresses or skirts, which is what is inside the closet. I mostly wear jeans, and converse, but I guess I could get used to it.

"Ash..I mean Ashley? Do you like it? I hope you like the clothes I don't really know what you like to wear, but I hope this is enough for you..oh, and the color of the room I hope that's okay too. I bought you this T-," She rambles for what seems like hours.

"It's fine. I like it." I say hopefully making her feel less nervous. I'm not going to tell her how much I love it, because she doesn't deserve to hear it.

"Well, since everything is set you can go to the corner store, and buy some snacks if you'd like. It's right down the street. I'm just going to finish cleaning up around the house." She says giving me a $20 bill.

"Oh, thanks." I mumble walking passed her. First, I head to the bathroom that car ride was way to long, and I need to freshen up. I look in the mirror, and my hair is a mess. I throw my curly hair up in a ponytail, and head out the door.

When I walk back outside those boys are still standing at the end of the street. I'm kind of nervous because I have to walk passed them. What if they talk to me? What If they make fun of how I look or try to kidnap me?

Calm down Ash you're being over dramatic no one wants to kidnap you.

I quickly walk down the street, and pull my phone out to pretend I'm not paying attention to them. Maybe If they see me 'busy' on my phone they won't talk to me.

"Hey, I've never seen you around here," one of the twins say.

Shit.

"Oh, I um, I'm visiting for awhile." I say staring at the boy. He had a boyish smile on his face. It was kinda cute. He had brown hair, and brown eyes, like his brother of course. He had a sleeve tattoo, something I couldn't make out.

"Cool, well, I'm Tristian, and this is my brother Zach," He said pointing to his brother next to him. His brother smiled. Kinda like the same smile his brother has except he has a couple freckles on his cheeks. It's cute.

That boy. The one I was staring at..I could feel his gaze on me. I slowly turn around and our eyes meet. His blue eyes held no emotion in them. He had blonde hair, and a lip piercing that suits him well. He had a lot of tattoos, more then the brothers did. I could see them through his white fitted tee.

" Can I help you?" He rolled his eyes.

"No, well I Um..Sorry.." I say and look down. Obviously, embarrassed.

"Anyway, what's your name?" Zach speaks, breaking the awkwardness between tattoo boy and I.

"Ash." I say turning to face him.

"Cool, where are you headed?"

"The store."

"For?"

"I don't know."

"Then why are you going to the store?" Tattoo boy finally speaks. His voice is beautiful. He had an accent which made is ever more lively.

"I just, well my mom told me I could buy something, so that's what I'm going to do." I frown.

"Okay."

"What's your name anyway?" I ask the tattooed boy.

"Why do you care?"

"I was just asking. You don't have to be so rude you know. How come your friends can introduce themselves and you can't?" I snap. I don't know why I snapped at him, but I don't understand why he has to be so mean.

"Tyler."

His name is Tyler.
