Chapter 1- The Return

I sit outside ontop of the treehouse, looking out at the night sky.

The skt was always beautiful to me, and I never really had chances like this to look at it anymore.

Ever since we defeated Heorbrine, monsters and other problems keel popping up by the second.

Its hard to get a moments peace now.

Sometimes I wonder if getting rid of him caused all this, and that the worse is yet to come, but then I shake my head and tell myself to stop worrying too much.

Then there are the times when I'm fighting the monsters, and they look at me with fear.

I can't figure it out.

They haven't ever done that before.

"Jesse. I can hear you thinking from downstairs." Petra jokes, walking onto the roof.

I don't turn my head to greet her as she lies down beside me, staring up.

"What's bugging you tonight?" She asks, looking at me with her beautiful brown eyes.

I sigh.

"Something feels off to me. Like, something is just waiting for us to be weak, and then it will strike." I say, making her sit up and look down at me.

She shakes her head.

"Jesse, I can't say that it won't happen, but until then, we just roll with it." She says, giving me the little half smirk she does a lot.

I sign, smiling lightly.

"Fine, I guess." I say, sitting up.

Our legs dangle off the roof as we hold hands.

She kisses me lightly on the cheek.

"We should go to sleep. If I know the people of this world, they will have another huge set of problems for us." She says, standing up and offering me her hand.

I take it, letting her lift me up.

We walk back to the hidden ladder hand in hand.

She goes down first, and I follow.

We stand in the small hallway we built after we finished the house, the others had no clue it existed.

It connected our two rooms.

"Goodnight." She says, kissing me one last time before opening her door and going inside.

Once it closes I mutter "Goodnight."

I walk back into my room, seeing the bed and laying down, slowly, drifting off to sleep.

When I wake up I can hear the knocking on our trapdoor, so I cover my ears with my hands, not wanting to wake up.

When no one is answering the door I get fed up and storm into the main room, opening the trapdoor to see a towsperson there.

"What's so urgent?" I ask, hoping I do t sound rude.

He looks terrified, so I try my best in my half asleep state to pay attention.

"There is a herd of Endermen at the entrance of the town, a problem in the neather, a creeper infestation by the lake, and a briefer is blowing up parts of the town." He lists, making me sigh.

"We will deal with all the problems, evacuate the town and bring them to the forest mine cart station. Go to the fathest destination. We will send someone to find you when everything is safe." I instruct, making him nod and run off.
