Mackenzie's POV

"Hi, My names Mackenzie Davis, I'm 23 years old and I'm from Denver, Colorado," I say looking into the camera, a big smile on my face.

"I love the beach, which is ironic since I'm from Denver," I laugh, as we walk around my neighborhood. "I've been an Ultrasound Tech. for about a year now. I love my job, because I basically get to be with family's every step of the way during their pregnancy, and it gives me happiness to see family's creating something. I love sports...I grew up playing sports. I had four brothers growing up, so we were always playing football, soccer or any sport we felt like playing. I also love traveling, I've only been to a couple of places, but nothing to extreme," I smile, my mind drifting off in thought.

"Family is definitely important to me, we're really close. I think ever since my brother and mother died, nothing has really ever been the same. I mean, we're a lot closer now because of the tragedies, but I think we lost some of the sun to our cloudy days," I say, tears gathering up in the corners of my eyes. "My brother, Andrew, he died about five years ago in a car accident, a drunk driver hit him head on and he died on impact. Then about three years after that, my mother passed away from lung cancer. So I would say I've had a lot of heartbreak," I cry, trying to dry my face with the palm of my hand.

"I've only had three boyfriends my whole life, and they've either broken up with me or cheated on me," I say faking a smile, "now I don't want a boyfriend, I want a husband. Someone that I can spend the rest of my life with and have a family with. Someone that will laugh at my silliness and cuddle with me when I'm sad," I give a genuine smile, thinking about my possible future husband.

"And hopefully that will be Ben," I giggle waving 'bye' at the camera.

******

It's been about a week since The Bachelor crew came to my hometown, filming my intro.

Now I am in the hotel, the one that I've been staying at for the past week, getting ready to meet Ben at the mansion. They've put two girls in each room, and I am rooming with Caila. We surprisingly get along really well, and I can see us continuing to be friends after this.

"So what do you think the other girls are going to be like?" Caila asks me as we do our makeup in the bathroom.

"Um...I don't really know. I mean there are always the stereotypical girls like the crazy one, the obsessive one, the alcoholic etc. but I guess we'll just have to wait and see," I giggle, Caila laughing along with me. We continue to get ready, chatting as we do so. I do my makeup pretty natural, my eye shadow is light brow, dark brown with a little black, I have eyeliner, mascara, blush and peach lipstick. Now for my hair, I left it in it's natural state which is wavy, and it actually looks pretty good. As for my dress, it's a long black dress, with a low back that stops just above my butt. For shoes...don't laugh, I put my converse on cause I hate heels, like I really hate them, can't walk or stand or do anything in them. Plus my dress is long enough to cover them. "Okay, ready?" I ask Caila, walking out of the bathroom, seeing her in a short silver dress with sequins all over it. "Wow, you look so pretty," "You look gorgeous," Caila and I say at the same time, bursting into laughter after. "Alright, let's do this," Caila cheers, grabbing my hand in hers and pulling me out of the hotel room.

We take the elevator down to the lobby, seeing a couple of limos parked outside. "Let's get in the first one," I say, pulling Caila in the direction of the first limo. We get inside to see only one other girl in there. "Hi," I say happily, getting in after Caila. "I'm Mackenzie or Kenzie, and this is Caila," I point to my new best friend who waves to the girl.

"Hi, I'm Lauren," She smiles, pulling me into a hug. I hug back shocked, no girl ever being this nice before...well besides Caila. "Your so pretty," I coo, squishing her cheeks a little with my fingers.
