March 17,

I awoke in the comfortable bed I remembered falling asleep in last night and the night before. The one in Kate's room for rent. The room was quite nice; with only a bed, a bathroom, and a couple of extras to decorate, but it was enough for me. It was pretty affordable for what I had to offer at the moment anyways.

I stood up to head over to the bathroom and brush my teeth. Most things seemed to be provided for this room. Last night, I actually told Kate about Ryan and my real name. Even though I just met her, I need someone to be there for me- and she seems pretty trustworthy.

I walked into the living room to the scent of bacon, finally seeing that Kate was already making breakfast. "Morning. Hungry?" She smiled, turning off the stove and setting two plates on the table.

"Good morning." I grinned, slowly walking towards the table flattered, yet concerned. "Although it's totally nice of you- you really didn't have to make me breakfast."

"It's the least I can do, hun. You've been through a lot." She told me, in her convincingly sweet southern tone which couldn't make me say no. She sat down on her seat, expectant that I would join her.

I couldn't pass it on, sitting down willingly from her insistence. "Thank you." I smiled, scooting my chair in and taking a look at what she made; pancakes, eggs, and bacon. We dug in, eating between regular conversations.

"So Krist- Aman- Um, what would you preferred to be called by?" She asked, obviously flustered about what she was gonna call me.

I laughed slightly, sipping my glass of orange juice soon after. "Please call me Kristen. Especially when other people are around." For one, I wanted to get used to it before hesitating about my name the next time someone asks. And two- absolutely no one can know about this, or my real name. That's the point of starting all over.

"Well Kristen," she smiled, emphasizing it, before continuing. "How do ya feel about startin' your new job tommorrow?"

I'd just remembered that it was Monday tomorrow; my first day at Silver Moon Bar & Grill, and I was pretty excited to meet my co-workers and new people to become friends with. But I think I'm feeling a bit overly happy about working.

"Can't wait." I grinned as she stood up and dropped her plate off in the sink.

"Can't wait for you to meet my nice friends as well. You'll love them." She smiled back. "Anyways, I'd hate to leave you all alone but I have to get fixin' and make my way over to work in just 'bout a bit."

Maybe I can use today as a lonely tour around the town or something? Maybe shop or buy things for my room?

"No problem! I'll just wander off somewhere." I told her friendly as I set my plate in the sink as well, both separately trailing off into our rooms.

Over the last 15 minutes, I looked around my room, deciding what I wanted to buy to simply just add my taste to it. A carpet would be nice, and possibly painting my room light blue, considering blue is my favorite color.

After basically noting down little features I wanted to add to my room, I heard Kate in the living room again- she probably just finished getting ready for work. So I managed to approach her for some helpful tips, since she'd known this town by every corner.

"Hey Kate, before you leave," I stopped her just before she reached the door handle. "Would you happen to know any convenience or home decorating stores? I'd like to shop for my room."

"Yeah. Just down by the lake, there's a small store in which my friend Perrie, her boyfriend works there. His name's Zayn."

I took it to note mentally, soon after appreciating her for the help. "Alright, thanks!"
