Prologue/chapter one
I'm so sick of this.
All the stares of pity.
It's like I'm in a middle of a battle. The stares and whispers hit me from all directions. Their blades as sharp as they come, pierce my flesh as well as my soul. Hitting continuously at my core, trying to rip me to shreds. It working though I feel as though I'm slipping away. For every look, stare and whisper, tears a part of me away.
I guess this is what you get when you go to school the day after you and your life become the hot new topic of the school. The day after your boyfriend is reported missing...
~~~flash back~~~
I step on to the hot sand of LA. Kate and Layla, my best friends, giggle next to me. We find a spot and lay our towels on the burning sand. I take off my lacey crop-top and my light blue shorts to reveal my black strapless bikini.
We lie on our towels getting ready to tan but not long after we receive wolf whistles from a group,of guys coming our way. We look up at them holding one hand up to cover our eyes from the hot glaring streams of light coming from the sun. Three of the boys break of from the group and walk with a sense of confidence and arrogance. The first one had golden hair that caught even the suns breath as its light bounced over it. The second was tall and held no readable expression on his face, yet there was still a slight pull towards him that was obviously effecting Kate as she couldn't stop staring at him. The third, however, was the one that caught my attention.
