"7209, have fun kid I heard Hamilton is a mean one." Drew said patting me on the back before walking down the hall to his class 2 doors down backwards grinning like the idiot he is.
alright Sam deep breathes. you can do this.
i take all honors classes and have never gotten lower than an A- before. I heard Hamilton was brutal and rarely gave A's, so I was nervous. English was my best academic subject, i saw was because starting to day it could be the worst.
I walked in the plain room where only 5 kids were in and already seated.
"Welcome, whats your name?" A short wrinkly woman said to me. "Erm.. Grace Greene but i go by Sam." i said fiddling with the hem of the old band t-shirt i was wearing that I'm pretty sure is Drew's.
"Well I call you by your birth name Grace so GRACE you sit here." She spat bitterly pointing to a desk in the back corner of the room next to another desk that was empty. I can already tell this year will be fun.. not.
Great job Sam! you're in class for 2 seconds and already the hardest teacher hates you. that's just perfect. i thought sourly to myself.
More and more kids came in all familiar to me but still no one sat by me. Class began and i didn't mind. I liked being alone, alone means not relying on someone else to just let you down. i could only rely on myself and Drew these days and more people put into my life forcefully would just complicate things even more than they already are.
My thoughts were interrupted when the door opened and a very attractive boy was standing in the door way. He had chocolate brown hair that was covered by a backwards black snap-back with his quiff poking through with bright blue eyes, he was wearing a grey crew-neck sweatshirt with black skinny jeans and classic black converse. (look at external link to see what this hotty looks like ;) only he has bright blue eyes oh and i have no idea who that is i just thought he was hot)
"Ah you must be Mr. Gallaway welcome to Colorado you will be sitting by Ms. Greene over there." Mrs. Hamilton said pointing directly at me.

I looked up toward 'mr. gallaway' and he was staring right into my face with a sideways smirk on his face as he made his way over to his desk.. my cheeks flushed red as i quickly averted my eyes to my desk that had nothing but a pencil on it.
a string of curses flew through my head. i am not good with working with boys yeah i have drew but he isn't a boy he is drew!
He sat next to me and my mind went blank as my nose was filled with the smell of his intoxicating magical cologne. did i just say magical?
I didn't look at him only forward to Mrs. Hamilton.
"Alright now that everyone is here, I have some announcements." She went into her rules that everyone already knew since they were the same rules since 1st grade.
1. pay attention
2. no cheating
3.no disrespect towards the teach or classmates
4. and no disruption
I'm pretty sure there where more but i got the jist
I was trying to concentrate on what the poorly dressed wrinkled woman was saying but i could feel what ever the freak that kids name is next to me eye's burning into the side of my face. Why is he starring at me like seriously NO guy ever looks at me. Maybe he is looking at the shelf of books by me. Yeah that's it.
"Now everyone pay attention!" The kid next to me adverted his gaze to Mrs. Hamilton thank the lord Jesus. no seriously thank you Jesus
"Get used to your seats, you are all paired up and will be sitting with this person for one whole semester. You will do a couple projects together then you will have a huge presentation worth half your grade at the end of the semester. So for the remainder of class get to know your partner exchange contact into and become friends, because one semester is along time." SHE HAS TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!? NO that's half of the school year and there is no way i can get an a with this kid. I'm surprised he knows what honors is! "Umm...hi." He interrupted my thoughts with his melodically deep voice
no Sam you need and A not to like a guy. just play it cool.
"Ermmm...uhh. hi i'm S-Sam." damn stutter
"I'm Reid, i'm from Arizona." of coarse that's his name Reid! REID! FUCKING REID! i need to calm down
"Well welcome to the cold the weather will take some getting used to" I muttered clumsily.
Really Sam a weather conversation smooth.
"Yeah I guess, so we only have 2 minutes of class left because Mrs. Hamilton was blabbing the whole time can I get your number?" He said nonchalantly like this was casual well it isn't!
He only wants your number for school he doesn't like you! you're not pretty!
I gave him my number and he gave me his
"Great I'll call you tonight so we can get to know each other plus it would be nice to have one friend." He said shyly. awwwww i would so be his friend. "Sounds good to me, i could use another friend.. what your next class."
He fumbled in his backpack and pulled out his crumpled schedule handing it to me.
"Your next class is on the way to mine ill walk you there... unless you don't want me to that fine to!" i said fairly quickly as my cheeks turned a deep red. Reid just started grinning a huge cute smile that made my legs turn into jelly as he chuckled silently
"I would love it if you walked me." He confessed. this made my heard melt just a little
Jesus get a grip this isn't 90210 for Christ sake get it together
"Oh we also have Art together." I said changing the subject.
"Awesome!" he smiled down at me considering he was fairly tall probably the same height as Drew! though Drew was more well built but i think that was just cause he was older. The bell rang and i walked him to his next class not to far away.
"Thanks for showing me my class.. I'm glad i met you." and with that very statement he walked into his class leaving me in the hall alone.
