Beerie, that's what they called it. It was like very tender chicken put into a seashell. And it was the worse thing I have ever tasted ever in my life! Mariah and Dustyn seemed to enjoy it so much and I almost threw up. Tujen food is disgusting! I never thought that food could be so horrible. Food is supposed to be good.

I scarfed it down my throat anyways as the two went on about the meal.

"Beerie is made from the animal Bere." Dustyn said, pronouncing it like Bear with an accent. "They live in the water and eat animals that are about their size or smaller. Many of them would eat their own kind if they are needed to. They sometimes go under harsh circumstances when it comes to surviving."

I have no idea how they could possibly survive this taste.

Mariah joined in. "They are the easiest to hunt because they are coming to us thinking that they can take us. Really they can't if they are alone. But if they travel in groups they can wipe us out easily."

"So, can they walk and swim?" I questioned with a mouth full.

"They don't go too far from the sea. Bere are very territorial so they stick to their surroundings. Tujen choose to stay a small distance away so we can hunt them but they won't invade our villages," Mariah replied.

I nodded with a little confusion. She didn't really answer my question. The bere sounded completely different from the bear back on earth but, ah well. This is nepozeme, I'm not going to understand everything that goes on here. I have one mission. And I need to learn everything that I can to help these-uh species survive.

...That sounds really cheesy.

I eat the nasty tender seafood thinking of a food that I like, so it doesn't taste as bad. But it didn't really work because the food had a very strong taste. I felt as if I didn't really want to breathe anymore.
