It took a few months to astablish a good friendship with Brandon again, but I finally did. One day, we went to practice with Josh for a hockey game that was coming up. I was practicing shooting and before Brandon could get his helmet on, it hit him in the head. We rushed him to the hospital right away. When he came out the doctor told us he would have temporary amnesia. It didn't seem bad at first, but when he came out staring at me then kissing me, it turned from okay to very bad. The doctor told us that we have to play along with it for a few days or it would mess up the process of him getting his memory back.
Auriel told me to keep it down with all the kissing and touching. I knew I wouldn't, but Auriel didn't trust me. The next day at dance, Brandon kissed me."What are you doing?" I asked.
"Giving you a good morning kiss?" he said giving me a weird look.
"Oh right," I said shaking my head.
A few days past and I started falling in love with Brandon all over again. On the day that Brandon was supossed to get his memory back, we were talking in the hall. I told him I needed to get into the dancer's den. I started to walk and he said, "If there's a problem with us, lets just talk about it, because you're my girlfriend and I love you."
I stopped in my tracks, "What. You just said you love me... You never say that." I said almost tearing up.
"I know, but I do love you.. You never say it either.." Just then, Auriel came over and Brandon saw her then his memory came back. I became heartbroken as I saw them make out.
About a month later Brandon invited everyone to go to his parents' lake house. Apparently I didn't get the message about me being uninvited because when I got there, Auriel asked what I was doing there, but it was too late to go home. I sat by Elissa and Nick in the car on the way there. I was the fifth wheel, it was so embarrassing.
During most of the trip I tried to stay out of Brandon and Auriel's way by keeping ocupied calling in to see how the twins were and such. I ended up getting poison ivy along with Brandon it was awkward. Later during the trip when I finally got a chance to go home, I heard crying when I got into the car. I looked over, it was Auriel. Brandon had broken up with Auriel because he was my friend and she kept trying to push me out of the picture. I felt so bad.
The next month was nature camp, I met a new guy there that was older than me, but I thought he had a thing for me, boy was I wrong. Every attempt Brandon made to tell me he loved me, like giving me his sweater when I was cold, or giving me flowers I thought it was Kyle doing it. Later at camp, I was going to comfront Kyle about my feelings and thinking that he liked me. Brandon walked to the place I was going to tell Kyle at, and told me how he felt and that it was him that sent me all the gifts. I was shocked so I just kissed him. Then, we got back together it was the best time ever.
