Ever since that night

You know the night.

The one where you spun me around and around to the sound of that fast paced county song.

Ever since then,

Every time I hear that beat,

My heart automatically pounds to the rhythm.

And not only do I get butterflies,

But I have the whole damn zoo!!

My mind starts remembering the way your lips moved to the lyrics,

And the elephants swing their trunks to the beat.

My mind starts remembering the way your hand moved around to my sides,

And the monkeys fling their banana peels.

My mind starts remembering how you swayed with me on your toes,

And the penguins swim low and break the ice.

I know you don't dance,

But baby

That night,

you waltzed your way right into my heart.

And I want nothing more than to watch you dance back my way.
