PikaShipping is the shipping between Ash and his Pikachu from the Pokémon anime.

It was a warm summer night. The travelers had now settled down and put up their tents in a small forest clearing. All were asleep, except for Ash. He sat cross-legged in the center of the clearing next to the now-put-out fire. His mind was buzzing, thinking of his next gym battle. I need to get some sleep, but I just can't, Ash thought. He heard a tent zipper unzip. Ash looked over his shoulder and saw his Pikachu looking at him.

"Pika pii, Pikachu?" he asked, cocking his head to the side. "I can't sleep," Ash replied quietly looking at the sky and leaning back, using his hands to support him. Pikachu wandered over to his trainer and nuzzled Ash's arm. Then, he crawled onto Ash's lap and sat there, looking up at him with glimmering eyes. Ash smiled and petted Pikachu. "I'll go to sleep soon," he reassured his Pokémon partner. "You can go back to bed if you want."

But Pikachu shook his head. "Pi," he said. Pikachu leapt off of Ash's lap and began tugging on his shirt gently. "Pika pii, Pika Pikachu," Pikachu chirped, then pointed to the forest around them. "You.. want to go out for a walk?" asked Ash confusingly. Pikachu nodded. "Chu."

"Oh, alright then," Ash replied, "but let's not be gone for too long." "Pikachu," his mouse Pokémon nodded before turning tail and dashing into the dark undergrowth. Ash quickly slipped on his tennis shoes and ran after Pikachu. "Hey, wait for me, buddy!"

Ash eventually caught up with Pikachu and the two walked side by side in silence. "So, um, why did you want to go for a walk?" Ash asked. Pikachu stopped and looked at him, an ear twitching. "Chu, Pika Pika." Pikachu said. "Um, I don't know what you mean," Ash confessed with a chuckle. "Pika Pika!" Pikachu started to use body motions as he spoke. "When we first met?" Ash asked, and then Pikachu nodded. "Well, I remember being late.. and you were the last Pokémon that Professor Oak had." As Ash spoke, he walked over to a tree and rested against its trunk. He sat down and crossed his legs, allowing Pikachu to leap onto his lap.

"You were stubborn at first," Ash recalled, making Pikachu flatten his ears, "but you eventually opened up, and I'm more than happy that you did." "Chu!~" Pikachu nodded, agreeing with Ash. Pikachu was glad that he decided to give Ash - the inexperienced trainer whom he had to deal with - a chance. "After all of that, you were hurt... and it started raining," Ash went on. "I stole a bike, heh, from Misty, and we were attacked by Spearow." Ash sighed. "We would've been goners. But you saved us by using the lightning from the rainstorm as a boost for your Thundershock." Pikachu nodded, then perked his ears when Ash said quietly, "I'm glad I was late. I'm glad that Professor Oak gave me you. I'd rather have you as my partner than Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle. They're all good, but you're the best."

Then, Ash pulled Pikachu into a hug. Pikachu stared at the trunk of the tree that Ash was leaning against for a moment, but then closes his eyes and breathed in Ash's comforting scent.

Suddenly, a thought popped into Ash's head, making him blush slightly. Would it be wrong... to love a Pokémon? Ash shook the silent question away. No. Pikachu is my friend and nothing more. Besides, Pikachu wouldn't understand me.

"Pika pii.." Pikachu broke the hug and looked at Ash. "Pika, Pikachu." Ash noticed that Pikachu was looking at his blushed cheeks. "Pika?" "I'm fine, Pikachu," Ash assured him. "No big deal." "Pi." Pikachu shook his head and copied what a human would do if the other looked sick: press his hand on Ash's forehead. "Chu..?" "Pikachu, what're you doing?" Ash asked. "I'm not sick or anything."

"Chu, Pikachu." Pikachu went along with what Ash said and attempted to lick Ash's cheek. But instead, he missed and licked Ash's lips on accident. Shivers were sent through Ash and he blushed madly. "Pika! Pika pii!" Pikachu squeaked apologetically. He didn't know why Ash's face was so red when he was licked on his lips. "Pikachu! Pika!"

Ash looked at Pikachu, his face not as red. "It's alright," he smiled in understanding in a calm matter. "No problem. It... i-it felt strangely good." Pikachu stared at Ash. Was the redness on Ash's face a good thing? Was he sick and just delirious? Pikachu didn't know how the human body worked. His cheeks were red, but they were normally red all the time. Ash's weren't always red, however. "Pika... Pikachu," Pikachu wondered, going in to test it again. He licked Ash's lips again, which sent more shivers through him. "Pika pii, Pikachu Pika?" the mouse Pokémon was curious to see Ash's response.

"Mm... I'm good, buddy. That felt nice... but we should head back no-" "Pi." Pikachu interrupted Ash. If it felt good, then why did Ash want to stop? Pikachu leaned in and licked his face more. Pikachu's cheeks darkened in shade a little, and Ash was unmoved, though even more slightly smaller shivers ran through his body. "Um, buddy," Ash sighed, "maybe this is-"

Ash stopped in mid sentence and choked back a gasp when Pikachu licked the inside of his mouth, the smaller tongue rasping his quickly.

Pikachu pulled back and stared at his trainer. A different taste was in the back of his mouth, but Pikachu ignored it and said, "Pika pii?" Ash closed his still-open mouth and looked at Pikachu. "That... kind of, um, felt strangely good..? You can stop for now, and we can do this again later if you want." Pikachu nodded happily. He loved to do things for Ash that made him happy or pleased. An emotion stirred in Pikachu's heart as Ash picked him up and turned him around to where the mouse Pokémon's back was facing his. Then, Ash began stroking Pikachu's favorite spot to be petted. Pikachu's electric tail wagged and he relaxed on Ash.
