Again I wake up in the middle of the night, sweating like a pig. It was the fourth time this past month...
Getting up from bed, I looked at the clock on the wall. 6:30... Time for my morning jog.
Leaving the comfort of my bed, I got my black track shorts and a simple white t-shirt. Although it was still October, the cold air always helped me think and relax.
Silently getting out of my room, I looked around the living room. She was no where to be seen...
"Still asleep..." I muttered to myself "Good..."
Leaving the dorm room, I headed down stairs and stepped outside. The cold winter air ran through as I started to run. It felt good, like the wind passing through me took all of my worries and concerns away.
I continued my routine until 7:30 and ran back to the dorm room. Unlocking the door, I was immediately graced with a golden haired presence standing in front of me.
"Hey, you're back!" Emma said, giving me a small smile. Me and her had become good friends in the past few weeks. I found out that she liked to practice battles early in the morning, while I preferred a nice jog. We were both dedicated to keep our bodies and mind sharp, which made for a fortuitous friendship.
"Yeah, just had my morning jog around the campus like usual..." I said walking past her heading to my room.
"Hey, humm..." Her soft voice made me stop on my tracks. "Would like to have breakfast with me today?" Her voice showed a bit of nervousness while she asked me the question.
"Of course." I said nonchalantly "You wouldn't mind if Josh came as well would you?"
"No, of course not!" She said, her lips forming a perfect smile.
"OK, I'll just have a shower and then we can go."
"Sure!" She said, smiling again.

Arriving at the cantina, me, Josh and Emma took a seat at an empty four people table. As we sat, three holographic menus displayed in front of us. Picking our meals, we started chatting about random stuff. Emma and Josh had become friends in a short while making me relieved for the lack of awkwardness during our time together. It would be tough to be friends with two people who hate each others guts...
The soft voice of a woman broke my thoughts.
"Here's your food..." She said placing the English Breakfast in front of me.
She was quite the sight, with her long light brown hair cascading down her back. Her soft green eyes looking around the table, checking to see if her work was done. When her eyes landed on me, a bright smile formed on her beautiful face. Giving me a wink, she left the table, occasionally looking back at me. 'Quite the seducer' I thought.
As we were eating, Josh decided to speak up.
"Dude, who was that girl?"
"I haven't got a clue..." I said between bites. "Why?"
"She's totally into you! Did you notice the wink she gave you?!" He said a little ecstatic.
"So what? She doesn't know me and I don't know her. No point on me making a fuss about a simple wink of an eye..." I said truthfully.
"Man..." He sighed as he slumped down on his chair. "If I was you, I'd be all over that girl by now. She doesn't even appear to be much older than us..."
"I guess that's what makes you two so different from each other..." Emma spoke up, "While Damien is a kind hearted guy that doesn't toy around with girls, you Josh, are a player type of guy..."
