Chapter 10

*Luke POV*
I sat back down at the table and pondered what Sarah had told me. Was I really in danger? I squirmed in my seat. Courtney leaned over "Are you ok?" She asked me. I bit my lip, I didn't want to lie. I stood up "I-I got to go the restroom." She gave me a confusing look "Ok." I rushed out of the room, and leaned against the wall forcing myself to take deep breaths, slowly I crumpled to the walk and buried my head in my hands, sobbing. Where are you Joel? A door opened, I didn't bother to look up. Someone sat down by me. "I-I'm so-,"Sarah's voice quavered, "I'm sorry, Luke." She stood up, and once again a heard a door open then close. Breathing in and out I stood up, and wiped my eyes on my sleeve I'm gonna find you Joel.
*Annie POV*
I glanced at the screen and the little red dot blinking. I was close. I hurried down the sidewalk, arms stuffed in my pockets, the cold wind blowing my hair back. A few minutes later I stood outside the hotel. I smirked I'm not gonna fail this time.
*Sarah POV*
After seeing Luke outside the room. I had broken into a millions pieces, my heart was shattered and rage boiled up inside of me. Whoever took Joel will pay! spotting my mom talking to Courtney, I told her I was going for a walk. On the way out I stopped at my room and grabbed my purse and iPhone along with some earphones, plugging them in and putting some music on. I closed my eyes for a second letting the music rush over me like a wave. On the way out I bumped in to Luke. I lowered my head embarrassed, Did He just say something? I took out my earphones. "Where are you going?" Luke asked. "Just for a walk." I pushed past him. Wow that was rude. Luke grabbed my shoulder and solemnly declared "I'm going with you." "No! Someone will recognise you, and that person from last night could attack you." "I don't care. I'm not letting you go by yourself, for all we know she could have heard you, she might try taking you. And I will not lose someone else." "Ugh fine." Together we walked down the stairs. "Let's go through the back door." Luke said, I nodded. He opened the door and gestured. Stepping through I turned around to wait for Luke. His eyes where wide "BEHIND you!" He shouted I turned just in time to get a fist in my face. I grunted no! She can't take Luke too. Shaking I stood up. Wiping blood from my lip. Luke came by my side "Stay-Stay back." I gasped, he shook his head. And instead stepped in front of me. The person from last night leaned against the wall smirking. "You wouldn't hit a girl now, would you Luke?" Enraged I pushed Luke out of the way and ran at Her. "YOUR NOT GETTING LUKE!" She easily pushed me out of the way, then she pulled out a gun. So this is how my life is gonna end. It was if she had read my mind "this isn't a gun its a tranquilliser." Those where the last words I heard before everything went black
