"Ok! I'm all done!" She said as she handed the canvas to the couple. They smiled happily and gave each other a kiss.

Sue was painting couples portraits for a little extra money. It was Valentine's Day and everyone had a date and wanted to do something special. So for five bucks, Sue spent 20 minutes painting couples. She enjoys painting so this was a fun job for her. Why wasn't she on a date? She didn't have one. She didn't really care though, sure she was lonely, but she wasn't gonna show it.

"Next!" Sue called. A tall boy who looked about her age walked up and handed her five bucks. He went and sat down in the chair. Sue looked at him confused. "Excuse me, but I'm painting couples. Where's you girlfriend?" He smirked. "I don't have one. I just thought I could get my portrait done. But if it's to much trouble...." He started to say. "No no, I can paint you. Just hold still." Sue said as she pulled out a new canvas and started to paint. "My names Damian. What's your name? Where's your boyfriend?" "Sue and I don't have one. Try to hold still please."
Sue was concentrated on her work. She finished in about 15 minutes because there was only one person. She dried the painting and handed it to him.
"Wow, you're good. So....how long are you going to be doing this?" He asked with a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Probably all day, why?" "Well I just wanted to know if you maybe wanted to grab a drink and walk around. You see I'm new in town and I don't really know my way around. That's also why I wanted to have my portrait done. First picture in my new home." Sue looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Sure...... Yah ok. I'll walk around with you. Just let me pack up." Then Sue started packing up her stuff. "I have to drop these off at my apartment. You can come along if you want." She said as she walked away waving her hand nonchalantly. Damian smiled and ran after. They walked to Sue's apartment while talking about where to go and what to do. Of course Sue did most of the suggesting. They decided on going to a local Jamba-Juice then just wandering around window shopping.
They walked into Sue's apartment and she threw the stuff on the couch. Then she grabbed her purse and walked out. "Ok, I'm ready. Let's goooo" She said while putting arms out like superman. Damian just chuckled and walked next to her. They headed over to Jamba-Juice and ordered some drinks. Damian insured on paying and Sue gave up eventually.
They walked through town sipping on their smoothies and chatting. "So, why'd you move here?" "Got a new job and I like traveling." "Ah, traveling is fun. I like painting the different places I see." "You're really good at it to! Ooh, look at that sweater!" Damian was pointing at a red sweater inside a shop. "Wanna go inside and check it out?" Sue asked. Damian answered by running into the shop and grabbing the sweater off the rack. Sue laughed and walked inside after him. "That looks good on you. You should get it." She said and smiled at him. "Really? Ok then." Sue nodded then took the sweater pretending to look at it. Then she ran to the cashier and payed for it before Damian could. "Oi! I could've payed." "Bummer, you payed for my drink, I payed for your shirt, we're even." She said as she handed him the bag. For the next ten minutes Damian was pouting. "Oh come on. Dude, it's done and over with now. Cheer up. You want some ice cream?" Damian cheered up at the mention of ice cream. Sue just rolled her eyes. "You're such a child." Damian stuck his tongue out and Sue chuckled. They got their ice cream and went to a nearby park. Being the childlike people they are , they sat on the swings and ate their ice cream. "Sooooo......why don't you have a boyfriend?" Sue looked at Damian and shrugged. "Eh, no ones ever asked me out and I've never really had an interest in anyone." "Ahhhh." Then things went silent for a little bit. "Do you wanna go on a date with me?" Sue was a bit taken aback. She looked at him and he looked serious. He was also blushing. She smiled. "Sure why not. It's Valentine's Day." She said as she smiled at Damian. Just then Damian jumped off the swing and walked over to hers. Then he grabbed her face in his hands and stared right into her eyes. His bright green eyes burning into her grey and purple ones. "Uh....Damian, what are you doing?" "Looking at your eyes. They're so....pretty. Grey with purple specks. I've never seen anyone with that color." He said in a quiet voice. Sue was blushing and she couldn't help looking into his eyes and getting lost. Before they both knew it, Damian had leaned in and kissed Sue. The best part was that she was kissing back. When they broke away They found themselves smiling. "You taste like strawberries." "You taste like chocolate." Then they both started laughing. Damian dropped his hands from Sue's cheeks and held out a hand to help her off the swing. She hopped off and didn't let go of his hand.
They continued walking around town looking at all the different shops. It started getting late and they had decided that they would grab a movie to watch at Damian's apartment. They walked into the movie shop and started browsing. They ended up picking The Hobbit.
When they got back to Damian's apartment they already knew almost everything about each other.

Damian was a childish goofball who can be really romantic. He has a huge sweet tooth. His favorite color is red. He is six feet tall with brown hair and has electric green eyes. He wears mostly long sleeve, colorful clothes. He is 17 years old.His smile makes Sue melt.
Sue was also childish but not really romantic. She has a sweet tooth as well. Her favorite color is blue. She is five feet tall with long, curly, blue hair. She has grey eyes with purple specks. She wears mostly black and white clothes with her hair in a ponytail. She is 16. Her eyes mesmerize Damian.

Damian made some popcorn while Sue put the movie in. She paused the movie and walked into the kitchen to help with the popcorn. "Have you ever seen this movie?" She asked while grabbing a bowl. "Nope, you?" Sue shook her head. "Looks like we can watch it together!" Damian said with joy. Sue smiled and laughed a little bit at how happy he was. The microwave beeped and Damian pulled the popcorn out and put it in the bowl. Then they walked to the couch and sat down. The previews for other movies started playing and Sue and Damian were already wrist deep in popcorn. At one point their hands touched and they looked at each other, blushing like dummies. Sue put a piece of popcorn in Damian's mouth and he smiled. Then he put a piece in between his lips and leaned toward Sue. She knew where this was going so she leaned forward and put the other half in between her lips. Then Damian smiled and started kissing Sue. Sue moved the popcorn bowl and scooted closer to Damian, never breaking the kiss. She put her hands in Damian's hair and deepened the kiss. Damian pulled Sue onto his lap and started playing with her long curls. They were so absorbed in the kiss that they didn't even notice that the movie had started. They finally pulled apart to breathe. Damian smiled at Sue, then noticed the movie started. Sue got off his lap and sat next to him, cuddling into his chest. They watched the movie and cuddled. Soon Sue fell asleep. Damian stroked her hair and thought about how lucky he was to have met Sue. She was beautiful and funny, smart and kind. He realized that he might love her. He smiled at the thought. His first love. He leaned down and kissed her lips gently. To his surprise she woke up and kissed back. She broke away and looked him in the eyes. "I love you Damian. I know it might sound crazy because we just met, but I really feel like I love you." Damian just smiled. "I love you to Sue. It was love at first sight. You are amazing." Sue and Damian smiled at each other for what seemed like hours. Then Sue got up to get a bottle water. When she got into the kitchen, Damian grabbed her from behind. He pinned her against the wall. "Sue, you were my first kiss and my first love you know. Now, I can't bear to be apart from you." Then Damian started planting little butterfly kisses on her jaw and down her neck, saying "I love you" in between each one. "Damian. I love you. You were my firsts to." Then Sue let out a little giggle. "Damian, that kinda tickles." Damian smiled and kept on kissing up and down her neck. Sue just kept giggling. Damian picked her up and carried her over to the counter. He sat her down and started kissing up her neck, to her jaw, until he reached her lips. Then he bit her bottom lip and started kissing her. They broke away after a few minutes and Sue smiled. "You taste like popcorn" "You taste amazing" Damian said with a grin. He picked her up the counter and carried her back over to the couch. They sat down and cuddled up to finish the movie, occasionally whispering little I love you's. Eventually they both fell asleep.

Sue woke up and to the sound of the ending music of the movie. She looked up and saw Damian sleeping. Then she realized that she hadn't gotten him anything for valentines, even though they had just met that morning. Then she had an idea. She quickly got up and ran to her apartment. She grabbed her art supplies and headed back to Damian's. She grabbed the canvas she had painted Damian on. She went into Damian's room because he had a full size body mirror. She chuckled. 'Does he need to look at himself that much?' This thought made her laugh even more. Then she set up her art supplies and started painting.

Damian woke up and saw that Sue wasn't there anymore. He walked around the apartment looking for her. When he walked into his room he found her asleep on her bed. He smiled. 'Now what was she doing in my room?' He thought, then he saw a bunch of art supplies and a canvas in an easel. He looked at the canvas and he almost cried. It was the painting from earlier, except Sue had painted herself on it and they were holding hands. At the bottom beneath her signature were the words I love you. Damian smiled, a tear slipping down his face. He walked over to the sleeping Sue and got in next to her. He pulled her close and kissed the back of her neck and whispered in her ear "That is the best valentines gift I could've gotten. I love you." Sue smiled in her sleep, which made Damian chuckle. He nuzzled his head into her back and fell asleep. At that moment they both thought ' I love you.' At the same time. That thought promised that there love would be everlasting, for those who fall in love on the day of love and think I love you at the same time are destined to love one another forever.
