"Samantha, darling, let's go!" My mom shouted as I fell out of bed.
"Do I really have to go? I don't feel like going mom," I said tiredly.  I didn't get much sleep last night since I was talking to Kassidy.  We stayed up all night talking about the first day of school.
"Yes, you do have to go. You need to have education and also you aren't always going to be living with me," she said in a harsh tone.
"Well what if I have to live with you until I get old, mommy,"I said back using my baby voice.
"Well that isn't going to happen young lady," she said while making my lunch for school.
"That's what you think" I said smiling at her.
"Well let's go ahead and get going" she said all happily.
We walked out the house and went to the garage.

"Are you kidding me," my mom said frustrated. To make all matters worse the car wasn't working.
"Oh my gosh," I said as I tried helping my mom crank the car up.
" Son of a ---" my  mom shouted as I interrupted her before finishing the statement.
"Mom. Watch your mouth please," I said back.
"Don't act like you don't curse. I've heard you plenty of times. So don't you dare want to lecture me, Samantha." She said
quickly. I was surprised by her remark.

Long story short--- I ended up getting to school late. My mom had to call a friend. And like I imagined, she took a long time.

Right now, I was in math. Ughh. I hate this class. Half the time I don't understand what's going on.
"Samantha. Hello." Said Mr.Banks as he waved his hand in my face. I had zones out.
"Umm. Yea sir." I spoke back quietly. The class was staring at me. I felt weird. With all the eyes coming my way.
"Do you know the answer to the question?" He asked.
"No sir," I said back apologetically. I felt like I made a fool of myself.
" Maybe you should pay attention than zoning out while looking at Mr. Brooks," he said a little bit to loud. The whole class laughed and I didn't look anywhere but down.
"Yes sir," I answered while still keeping my head down.  Then he went back to teaching the class. I didn't dare look to my right. Zach was sitting there. The truth is, I knew Zach well enough. We were best friends. But I could tell he didn't want nothing with me. It's weird. I hated being friend zoned. I liked him a lot but the only thing he wanted from me was my friendship.

Class was over and I was heading out.
"Hey," said a voice next to me. I knew the voice to well.
"Hey Zach," I replied. He had his hands behind his neck.
We were now heading to lunch.
