(a/n means a name)
Prompt 1
Valentines day is coming up, and a/n buys herself a pink dress for the party on Sunday. When she arrives, she notices that other girls have dressed differently than her, and feels like a prude in her knee-length dress. Looking at the positive side, she decides that she couldn't be called a slut in this situation. But during the three hours at the party, people keep on remarking about how the slut "tried to be modest," while she repeatedly is physically and sexually harassed throughout the night.
Finish the story by including more examples about how slut-shaming can occur to people who are modest, how this affects its victim, and any other factors you'd like to include.
Prompt 2
Write a scene involving a form of slut-shaming that could occur around the holiday, Valentines day.
Your one-shot must include all of the following:-A protagonist and antagonist
-A form of slut-shaming
-A resolution
Instead of doing a one-shot, you can also write an explanation about what types of slut-shaming can occur around Valentines day, why, and how to help prevent this.
Prompt 3
Your friends invite you to a Valentines day party. You repeatedly decline, using the excuse about private schoolers don't know many people, but finally give in. Luckily, you end up having a blast and meet a guy at the party. After offering to get you a drink, you finally loosen up and dance with him. A little while later you begin to feel weird. Your new friend leads you out the party in a haze and guides you to his car. Before you know it, the guy has lead you into out of the car and into a house. He begins to kiss and touch you as he leads you to a room. You try to fight him off, but the drugged drinks are getting to you and your fight dies quickly.
When you wake up, you feel horrible. It was the flirting that provoked him, you think. I should have used common sense and not accepted the drink from him.
Finish the story by including examples on how slut-shaming would appear in this situation, how rape is often blamed on the victim than the rapist himself, and ways this can affect its victim. You can include other factors like the solution to this problem, the parents reaction, and/or people standing up for the victim.
For this contest, there will be only one 1st place winner, two 2nd place winners, and three 3rd place winners. In total, 6 winners.
The number of winners can change if multiple people win the same score, or less people enter the contest.
*You can write in any format you want. For example, "you" can be a girl named Sarah or a/n could be "you".
#BeMineS16 will end on Sunday the 14th. No expectations regarding late entries.
