Erin POV
I have a month before the baby gets here, I'm so ready for this pregnancy to be over. I know I have an attitude but I can't help it. It's like I wanna be around Dre then I want him out of my face. The baby shower is today, it was gonna be the females in my family, Tanji and Pinky but Dre's friends and Vonte keep asking me can they go so I said they can plus my daddy. He had to be there either way. If y'all are wondering, no me and Dre aren't back together. He walked downstairs to the living room.
"Its time to leave." He said, he helped me up from the couch. I started walking towards the door and heard him chuckling, I already knew what he was laughing about.
"Quit laughing at my walk Dre."
"I'm sorry big mama." I hit him. We got in the car and he drove to the place where we were having the baby shower. When I walked in I was so surprised, it was so many people! I walked in and we started eating, everybody was walking up to me and Dre talking and congradulating us.
"Now its time for the gifts!" My mama said. I could tell she was excited. I opened a whole bunch of gifts then stopped cuz I got tired then the lights went off and a projector screen came on. It was pictures scrolling of me with Dre, Vonte, my parents and other people. When it was done, they didn't turn the lights back on and Dre got up. My daddy handed him a microphone. I'm so lost. Forever My Lady by Jodeci started playing on the speakers and Dre started singing in front of me.
"Forever, forever, forever. . so you're having my baby and it means so much to me. Its nothing more precious than to raise a family. If there's any doubt in your mind, you can count on me. I'll never let you down, lady believe in me." He stopped singing. "I can't really sing the next part yet because he isn't born but I sung this for a reason. Erin you mean so much to me, I've told you so many things that I've never told anyone. You were the first person I told I love you to and the first girl I ever made love to, it was never just sex cuz it was you." My daddy cleared his throat and everyone laughed. "Sorry Mr. Marshall, I know we aren't together and I remember you saying to get you back I'd have to show you instead tell you. I'm nervous as hell but here it goes." He got down on one knee, I cried instantly. "Forever is what I wanna give to you, Erin La'Shae Marshall will you marry me?" I just cried. "Baby don't cry, answer me. I'll get down on two knees if you'll say yes." I laughed.
"Yes." He slid this huge rock on my finger, its so gorgeous! He got up, picked me up and spun me around. Everybody clapped and Dre's friends were rooting.
"Aight man don't smush the baby!" Somebody said.
"Oh shit." He said then put me down.
The rest of the night went by so perfectly, I'm so happy with life. Now I'm ready for our bundle of joy to get here.
Okay y'all this chapter was just a filler thats why its short. I know some of y'all are like, two updates in one day? But I wanted to go ahead and do this cuz the next chapter will be full of d r a m a!
