I woke up from the annoying sound of my alarm clock.
It was moving day.
I shut my alarm off and started walking down the stairs, looking at every detail in our house so I won't forget it. "Okay. Heather, eat something quick and than start bringing boxes downstairs." I nod.
We're moving from Tennessee, to Virginia and I'm not to excited about it. I grab a glazed donut and than start bringing my boxes down. Every dent, hole, mark or stain in this house was a memory, a memory that I will miss forever. I didn't have much friends here, but the ones I did have were super close to me.
I finished with my boxes and went to my little brother and sisters room to help them. But to my surprise, their room was already cleaned out, they were ready to go, and already carrying the boxes to the truck. We were driving there, due to my moms fear of flying. My mom runs through every room making sure we didn't leave anything. We finish loading all of our stuff up, and the moving trucks start heading to our new house. By that time it was already 4pm "Grab the dog." My dad says. I grab our German Shepherd by the collar and lead him into the car. We all get in the car and prepare ourselves to sit in a over crowded van for 9 hours.
Our parents saw the house once when they went to see a friend for a few days, and bought the house without ever telling us we were moving.
"Are you guys excited?" My mom asks us.
"Yes!" My brother and sister yell.
My mom looks at me and I nod.
"We each get our own rooms and bathrooms." My dad says trying to cheer me up.
I was only mad because I was leaving my friends. My parents think they'll come all this way to see me. But they won't, they may promise they'll text me or face time me everyday, but that's a lie. One day they'll stop. As much as I don't want to let that happen It will.
And I have to leave the house I grew up in, the holidays and family dinners and family reunions held there will never be forgotten.
At 9pm we were almost half way there. But my mom got to tired and we decided to try to find a hotel somewhere. It would've been a lot easier just to have kept driving. We found a hotel at 10:37pm that thankfully accepted dogs.
My brother and sister were passed out sleeping. So we carried them into their rooms. My parents fell asleep quickly but I couldn't and I knew I would regret it, so I forced myself to go to bed.

-

"Heather, wake up!" Logan, my little brother yelled and started shaking me.
We grabbed what we brought into the hotel and went to the car.
"Guys were almost there." My dad said after hours and hours of driving.
I looked out the window, and looked at all the different things outside and kept comparing it to how much better Tennessee was.
"I'm hungry." Madison, my little sister says.
"We're almost there." My mom says.
"I'm hungry now." She wined.
My mom pulls into a McDonald's drive-thru.
It wasn't as nice as the one back home.
"What does everyone want" my mom asks.
"Just get me a burger and French fries i guess" I say even though I didn't feel like eating.
"Chicken nuggets." Logan says.
"I want a happy meal." Madison says.
"Can I get a happy meal instead?" He asks.
My mom nods.
She orders our food and we get it instantly because there was no other people here.
"I bet this food is terrible." I complain.
"I bet it's not." Logan answers. Logan is 12 years old. Four years younger than me. Madison is 10. Six years younger than me.
I examined my burger, than carefully bit into it. Nothing special about it, wasn't good or bad. Just a burger.
"Two hours left." My dad says.
I'm surprised my siblings haven't started fighting yet.
I put my headphones in and fell asleep.
"Were here!" My dad yells in excitement. "I can't wait till you see the inside!"
Really the house wasn't as great as my dad told us. It was just a house, just like the burger I had, the house was nothing but a house.
It was three floors but wasn't very big.
It was 8pm and we got my siblings beds and blankets in their rooms first so they can sleep while we unpack.
The inside was bigger than I thought.
"Grab this end"
"Can you help lift this"
"This'll go over there for now"
That's was I heard for the next two hours until we finally got sick of moving things we put the rest of the stuff in the living room and kitchen so we could move it all tomorrow.
My parents moved their bed into their room and than moved mine into my room quickly.
My room was different than my old room. It smelled of fresh paint, while my other room smelled of a smell I can't explain but I loved it.
I stared into the darkness. This house felt soulless. It felt no emotion.
God I hate it here.
I fell asleep shortly after.

I woke up from a loud noise, probably boxes falling. I got up and went to the kitchen. Most of the stuff was already moved thank god.
"I'm gonna go walk Bentley." I said.
I put his leash on his color.
He looked at me excitedly.
My mom nods. "Make sure you're back by lunchtime."
"Okay." I say.
"Can I come with" Logan asks me with puppy eyes.
I laugh. "Ask mom."
He runs to go ask our mom.
"She said yes! Just wait I gotta get my shoes on." He yells from his room.
He hurries back.
"Let's go." He says.
We all walk out the door.
It was nice out today.
Everyone is so friendly here. A guy that was walking his dog waved at us, bikers waved, people stopped to pet our dog.
At our old house people weren't like that at all.
We went home before lunch because we didn't know the town very well and didn't wanna get lost.

-

"How was the walk?" My mom asks.
"It was fine." I replied.
I took Bentley's leash off and hung it back up on its hook.
Everything was different here. My family seemed different, my siblings didn't really fight as much, even the stuff from our old house seemed different. This house still felt soulless to me but everyone else seemed to be enjoying it.
"What are we eating for lunch?" I ask.
"Oh that's right!" My mom said running back to the stove. She opens it and the expression on her face said it all. "I burnt our lunch" she said laughing as she pulled the burned pizza.
"Guess we'll have to call in to get some." My mom said laughing.
She reaches for her phone and calls a pizza place, and than hangs up when she finishes talking. "Should be here in about 20 minutes."
I nod.
I go to my lifeless room and just sit there.
I knew my friends would stop talking to me.
I roll over to the other side of my bed and check my phone. Nothing.
I sigh and than turn on my Tv.
I hear a knock at my door. "Heather my interview for work is in 10 minutes so I'm leaving now. The pizza should be here any minute so here's some money." She says while putting the money on my desk.
"Where's Maddy and dad?" I ask.
"Dad when to see one of his friends and brought her with her. I'm not sure when they'll be back. But I gotta go. Wish me luck!" She replied.
"Good luck." I say.
After she leaves I go downstairs and sit on the couch.
I hear a knock at the door.
I got up thinking it was the pizza guy. But I was wrong.
