“You look amazing!” Shellie cried when I walked out of the dressing room. I snorted and looked at myself in the mirror. This was absolutely ridiculous.
“I look like a doll!” I stated, starting at my strawberry blonde hair that was pulled back into a fancy bun, keeping my curls from being shown. My makeup looked flawless. But my outfit…well it looked like something you’d see on a doll you’d give to a four year old.
“You look perfect,” she said. I rolled my eyes. This was the stupidest photo shoot I had ever done. Next time I do a favor to my uncle, I make sure I know what I’m doing. And makes sure whoever is in charge of the outfits, actually has good taste.
“Emma! The first boy is ready for you,” Alex said walking in, clipboard in hand. He glanced up, a smile forming on his face. “You look amazing Em,” he said.
“I look like a doll!” I stated for the second time today. He rolled his eyes before dragging me out. “I hate this. What guy picks out this outfit for a girl?” I rambled.
“Em, just shut up. The boys will love you,” he said stopping. I collided into his back before peering out around. Five boys were goofing off, each with a completely different style of clothes.
“Really? Why can’t I wear something similar to them?” I complained as I was pulled over.
“Because you aren’t them and after you get done with their photos, you can change into whatever you like,” Alex said waving the clipboard around.
“Fine, but I never want to this again,” I said motioning to the outfit I was wearing. He snorted before looking at the boys.
“That’s Liam, Harry, Zayn, Louis, and Niall,” Alex said pointing to each boy.
“I’m not stupid, Alex. Just because I don’t like their music, doesn’t mean I don’t know who they are,” I retorted. He glared at me before shoving me in their direction.
“Guys this is Emma, she’s the model in your shoot today,” Alex announced. Five pairs of eyes snapped in my direction. I gave a small wave before looking around, wanting to be anywhere but here. “Right, so I’ll leave you guys too it. Emma, remember what I told you,” he added before leaving me with the boys.
“Hey I’m Harr—” one started, but I cut him off.
“I know who you are. And not trying to be rude but I would love to get this shoot started,” I said looking at each boy. They nodded before scrambling over to the screen. I trailed along behind them, taking my place where I had been instructed in so many shoots before.

“What is your problem?” Harry growled as I glared at him. We were doing individual shots right now. I had already gotten through everyone but Harry and Niall. And Harry was pissing me off to no ends. He was being a total ass and teasing me about my hair. Apparently it’s a sin to not be a blonde but a strawberry blonde in his world. So I told him his curls were highly overrated. His reaction was priceless, and now we were having issues being so close to each other.
“Right now, you,” I growled back at him. We glared at each other, not moving from our positions.
“Emma, Harry. Stop, now,” my uncle’s voice boomed. Harry broke his stare at the sound while I jumped backwards, in shock. Why was he here? Uncle Simon never comes to these kinds of things; his band being here shouldn’t make a difference. “Niall switch with Harry, Don got enough shots we can work with,” he added. Harry stormed away as the blonde approached my side.
“Don’t worry about Harry, he’s just mad you won’t give him the time of day,” Niall whispered so only I could hear. I giggled at his comment, just as the camera flash went off.
