The not so happy ending
What would you do if from the day you were born you were hated, physically and mentally abused?
Well it's time you met a girl named Marie.
From the time she was born to now, she always had a rough life.
No matter what happened she kept her head held high.
She learned from a young age to never show weakness.
Marie always wondered why her father hated her.
At one point in time he was a really great "daddy".
Even when beat, she always loved her father.
She knew not to cry or utter a sound when beat.
She never stopped loving the mother that abandoned her at the age of one.
Marie had the biggest heart. She hid her sadness well in front of others.
Each and every day she'd force a smile on her face.
Once her father was sent to jail with her uncle for selling drugs to an under cover cop.
Her brother and her were sent to live with their aunt.
She was finally happy.
That all came crashing down when her mother came to meet her brother, and her.
After all that time.
Marie didn't know what to make of the situation.
She kept a blank expression, She was unreadable.
She didn't utter a word.
She was afraid her mother would hate her, just like her father had.
She never understood why her mother had left, but she always blamed herself.
It wasn't long before her mother bailed once again.
Once again she blamed herself.
Daddy always told her she was useless every time he was awake.
Which was only to eat, use the bathroom, or on payday and to party.
When he was awake that the worst time for her.
She was never scared of her evil step - mother, but when it came to daddy it was a different story.
The glint, he would get in his eyes was terrifying.
This little girl never knew what to expect when he had that glint.
Tried to stay out of his way, but someway, somehow she always got a beating.
She even took her step moms, and her brother's beatings.
Soon her father and uncle were released from jail.
Then she was sent to live with him, even if she didn't want too.
She didn't protest much, because she knew she wasn't loved.
Why stay somewhere you're hated?
No matter how many people say they love her.
She never believed them.
They had no place to live, so they lived in a shelter.
She was still beat.
Marie was only 11 years old!
She never had a childhood like all her classmates had.
She wanted to be free.
All her life she felt suffocated.
One day she accidentally cut herself while shaving.
She liked the feeling.
When she went back to her room she had got a new razor out, and took it apart.
Marie took the razor and ran it over her skin over and over.
She didn't even feel the sting, she was so used to pain.
That's all she has ever known was pain and heartbreak.
Over time she found herself addicted to cutting.
Marie did it when she was sad, or angry, or just couldn't handle life anymore.
No one ever noticed what she was doing to her self.
Long sleeves hid every cut she had.
Even if they would of showed, its not like anyone would care.
She was alone and the sad part was she knew.
School wasn't something she worked hard at.
Her grades were always passing.
Even if she barely went.
She changed and became a guarded person.
Marie was quite as long as you didn't set her off.
Things never changed at home.
Her faith in life was dimming.
She was tired, sick of life.
So sick of being alone.
Marie asked herself everyday "why not just end this pathetic suffering"
She couldn't help but think how easy it would be, if she died.
It wasn't like anyone would miss her.
Everyday she would self harm. somewhere on her body.
The feeling became addicting, her own personal high.
After awhile it wasn't enough, she needed something stronger.
Marie became something she hated most.
She became addicted to meth, just like her father.
Friends she had left, wondered what was wrong.
"Why was she becoming so cold"
No one understood and she didn't care.
