imagine confronting anakin about his dumb AF motives

YOU DON'T DESTROY THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE; that's probably one of the main ideas that Anakin lacked in comprehending with Y/N and his' relationship. Despite the fact that he was doing it unconsciously, that mere fact didn't aid Y/N's constant heartache as she watched him carry on.

But just like everyone, Y/N had her breaking point which was reached when she the security footage in front of her ended. The sight of her once lover brutally murdering younglings seemed as if it would be permanently engraved into the back of her mind while warm tears threatened to spill out of her shocked eyes.

"Y/N, I think it would be wise if I accompanied you." Obi-Wan warned her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder in an attempt to comfort her from the heartbreak taking place in her chest. Though, it was no use.

She shrugged off his hand and flashed him a smile that failed to reach her reddened eyes. "It'll be fine." Y/N assured him, more towards her safety than about the whole ordeal. "I think this would be a situation better handled alone, Obi-Wan."

Sighing, he nodded his head in faux approval as he tried avoiding the little voice in his head warning him against the idea.

Y/N carefully walked up to Anakin where he stood with his back turned to her. "Anakin." At the sound of her voice, he quickly turned around with a large smile on his face. The smile was quickly ripped away at the sight of her tear stained cheeks and look of anger directed towards him.

"Y/N?" He softly questioned, taking a set of three stops towards her before stopping. "What happened? Why were you crying?" If it weren't for Obi-Wan's lecture in the ship on staying calm, she would'be laughed in his face at his poor choice of questions before gifting him a harsh slap on his cheek.

"You killed them." Seemed to be the only words that managed to slip out of her flushed lips at first, her head shaking in disbelief accompanying the bold statement. "You killed children, Anakin." Her mouth repeated, conviction rushing to coat her words in an attempt to help her position.

Letting out a deep breath, he hurriedly rushed over to her in an attempt to engulf her in a hug. "It isn't what you think it is, Y/N." His words sloppily tried to explain, hoping to somehow be able to justify his reasoning to her before he lost her.

Though, it seemed useless as his words all became jumbled up at the back of his throat.

"Do it, Anakin." Her hands brought themselves up to his cloak covered chest as she hastily pushed his body off of hers, earning a genuinely hurt expression from him. "Break my heart." Y/N urged him, trying her best to get answers - that he was avoiding - from him.

His silence was enough of an answer as the right corner of his lips tugged down into a frown, knowing that all the pain she was feeling was from him.

"Tell me that this, whatever this is, is the new you." Her montage of upset feelings continued mixing in with her words as she struggled to understand the man standing in front of her, the man that she had just spent the night with yesterday.

The man that she once believed would never be capable of taking anyone's lives, yet here they were - a place that she really didn't want to be in.

"You don't understand, Y/N." Anakin finally spoke up, the sight of Y/N upset influencing him to continue trying to explain as the fear of losing her continued clouding his mind. "This is not a bad thing like you think it is."

"Then what is it?!" She spat, daring to take a threatening step towards the cold blooded murderer in front of her.

"I'm doing this for us." Anakin weakly explained to the broken hearted girl in front of him, desperate to win her love again. "So that we can freely be together and no longer have to hide our love, Y/N."

Her head continued shaking in disbelief, amazed at the large change in him in such little time. "This isn't how I wanted it." Y/N fired back, struggling to make eye contact with the man she barely recognized in the familiar body.

"Y/N." Anakin pleaded, the desperation coating the space in his sad eyes. "The whole galaxy will be ours, how can that sound like a bad idea to you?"

"Because of the way you're going about it." She angrily exclaimed, her hands working their way into wild hand motions to match the anger boiling in her system. "It's not right."

Anakin swallowed the large lump in his throat before lowering his eyebrows at her, his lips forming a tight line on his face. The sound of disgust in here voice and the expression on her face was enough to push him into an ocean of his own anger.

"So you're against me." He angrily stated, scoffing at the fact that the person he thought would love him for an eternity was suddenly on the opposing side; drawing him as the bad guy.

"I am." Y/N softly answered, nodding her head and giving him the answer he solemnly dreaded.

"I thought you loved me."
