I roamed the hallway.

I had to admit, this house is beautiful...The walls were all mismatched shades of brown, with the end wall a deep burgundy color. Countless works of art littered the walls, and even some family portraits.

I studied it closely. It was a man, a woman, and a teenage guy. From looking at the photo, you could see that Aiden inheritated his black hair from his mother, and his green eyes from his father. Both parents had dark, tan skin. Aiden's mother had a lean, muscular build and his father had a broad frame. Overall, Aiden had a gorgeous family.

I continued down the hall and desended the staircase to the main floor. I avoided all other rooms besides the one I was looking for, the one I needed.

Kitchen. Food.

----

After 1 bag of chips, 3 jello cups, leftover pasta salad and a few cholocate bars, my appetite is finally curbed. I can't help but smile at the thought of Aiden being stuck up in that room. Serves him right. I walk over to what I believe in the backdoor and pull it open revealing a spacious, green lawn. With no intentions to run away, I strut out.

Facing me are 3 guys with confusion written clearly on their faces. I raise my eyebrows. "Why hello boys. I'm Adrianne. Now stop staring and introduce yourselves." Two of them look familiar but I just couldn't put a finger on it.

The one in the middle, with dark hair, chuckled. "Darling, I think I've already introduced myself. Remember?" That's when I recall that night. It seemed like forever ago, not just a week.

"You're Derek, no? And you, you're James I think?" I ask unsure. They both nod.

The other guy steps toward, "I'm Ethan." He grins.

"Well hello there. Nice to meet you I guess." I stated.

Derek glanced behind me, "Where's Aiden?"

While keeping a straight face, I spoke, "He got tied up in doing some work inside the house. It'll take awhile." I attemped to keep the smirk off my face, and failed miserably.

James scowled at me. Derek looked curious. Ethan looked confused.

"Wait, Aiden said you were running away?" Ethan questioned.

Oh, of course Aiden would say that. Why WOULDN'T I want to run away? This place is horrible I'm confined to my bedroom and Aiden is an ass. Like honestly, I have every right to want to leave.

Instead of speaking my thoughts and showing them my annoyance, I smile sweetly. "Oh, of course not! You guys are my new family. It's not like you're treating me bad or anything. It's not like I've been stuck in my bedroom the whole time." I leaned up and ruffled Ethan's hair. He grinned down at me.

I stayed next to Ethan and watched James and Derek. It was obvious that James disliked me. Ever since that first time we met. Meanwhile, you could literally see the relief in Derek's features.

Huh. So Derek knew I was kept in my room. Or at least suspected it. And, he wasn't happy about it. Well that's good to know. Lesson of life: It's always good to know whose on your side. When it came to Aiden and I, Derek was on my side. As for James, definitely an Alpha's boy, that's for sure. Ethan....I wasn't positive about. Then again, I don't think he knew entirely of my predicament. I relised this at once, which is why I singled him out. I need to win him over before Aiden shows up.

"So why now, after a week have you finally came out of your hiding place? Think you're better than us? Scared of us?" James pulled me out of my thoughts with a sneer.
