Actually, several words, but then the title would be too long.
As a budding writer who also has the title student, employee, and resident chauffeur (long story), it is very, very difficult to finish anything unrelated to said titles. After all, school, family, and work should come first, right?
But there are just so many awesome ideas swimming around in a writer's head! Ideas that, if left unattended, fade away.
Thankfully, this is not one such instance. In fact, one little idea--a crossover of two incredible works--grew and transformed into something I believe to be incredible.
Transferring such amazing ideas onto paper, however, is another story. And it takes time, just as an artist slaves for hours over a single painting (unless you're Bob Ross, who can whip up a completed landscape painting within a half-hour episode while talking about happy little clouds).
So until the time comes that I share my little cornucopia of ideas to the world, here is a little sampler platter just for you!
====================
With all that poetic rhetoric out of the way, let me get down to business. The Harry Potter x Fullmetal Alchemist crossover that I had planned before is, well, a work in progress. See, as I continued to develop the story and the world(s) it would take place in, it grew and grew until I now have this awesome project that I can't wait to show to everyone.
Problem is, it's also huge! But I'm much closer now than I was before.
So about the story itself: to be honest, there isn't one. Rather, not one that stretches across all the 'tales' that I have in the works. Though there are many common elements (this is all in the same universe, after all), there is no single plot tying everything together.
As for what this here 'book' is supposed to be, this is where you, the readers, can get glimpses of the universe that has spawned out of my brain (isn't that quite the image?) and where I give you the chance to jump in and become a part of it all.
The short stories published here are inspired from writing prompts that I find. I'm keeping to a 400-word limit for now, just so I can get my writing muscles working again. Feedback is greatly appreciated. Ideas and other prompts even more so.
There are also 'Database Entries' here and there, giving a peek at how things work in this universe. But it'll mostly be through the short stories anyway.
Will there be an update schedule? I wouldn't count on it. But I won't be the one to wait for 'inspiration' either. Once I get/find a prompt, you can bet your Subway sammich I will get it written! (Speaking of which, I'm hungry...)
Disclaimer: Some of the settings and characters described in some of these chapters do NOT belong to me (as much as I wish they did). There will be a disclaimer bit at the beginning of such chapters and the book as a whole will be labeled as a fanfiction (both as a Category and in the tags) to be safe.
So now, with the boring part over, let us begin!
