10 years later ~ 10 years old
Amy raced into school at 10 past 9, wondering how late she was, and why Rory did not meet her outside the park as usual to walk to school. She had waited there for 15 whole minutes! She was outraged. Her face was flushed as she flounced into the classroom.
"Amelia!" announced her teacher in a stern voice.Amy looked up at her exasperated face.
"Yes, Miss Grey" Amy said in a hopeful voice.
"You're late again!"said Miss Grey, looking at Amy with a questioning look on her face.
"Sorry Miss Grey, it won't happen again" Amy chanted, desperate to find out why Rory didn't meet her.
" I hope it won't", Miss Grey replied. " Now, go and sit down."
Amy swivelled around and stormed towards her chair, next to Rory to find.....
There was a girl!!!! There was some strange girl, in Amy's seat!! Amy glanced at Rory, who was looking very nervous. "Why didn't you meet me!!" she questioned Rory, and then she turned to the unknown girl and snapped "Who are you, and Why are you in my seat?".
The girl in the seat didn't look bewildered as Amy expected her to, but just smiled and flicked her dark hair back.
"I'm Mels, and I'm new. And you are?? said the girl called Mels, looking superior.
"I'm Amy, and you are sitting in MY seat" Amy announced.
"Amelia, be polite!" Miss Grey scolded.
"Well, it's MY seat now" smirked Mels, and as she turned around she flicked her hair in Amy's face. One look at Amy, and you knew she was furious. It made her even more infuriated, when she started chatting animatedly to Rory.
Miss Grey sighed, knowing she would have to do something to decrease Amy's rage very quickly. She dragged and extra desk along, next to the desk that Mels was sitting in. She told Mels to move along, much to the young girls dismay, and placed Amy in between her and Rory.
Rory smiled at Amy, obviously happy to be taken away from the new, strange girl. He thought she was very imtimidating and frankly, rather scary.
Mels sat in her seat and frowned. She really wanted to make friends at this school, and she was always very confident, and never let anyone boss her around.
Amy saw the slightly downcast look on Mels face. She knew she was going to have to be nice. After all, once she was the new girl.
"Hi"said Amy, in a small voice. "Where did you move from?". She saw the confused frown on Mels face and for a moment regretted it, but as she saw her smile, she relaxed.
"I'm from Manchester" Mels made up as she went along." You're Scottish, right?".
"Yes" Amy replied. "Now, let me tell you about The Doctor...".
~
This is probably not very good, as I wrote the end in a hurry, and I don't know much about Amy's childhood, so I had to guess some of it. I tried to make Mels seem like a normal child, as well as a part Time Lord, so I hope it made sense. I want to thank TayTayDWluva for suggesting I do something including Mels, which really got the brain juices flowing. Thanks for reading!
Hugs and Smiles, Lauren :)
PS. I really wish I owned Doctor Who but sadly :( I don't.
