See You Again

The team, including Mia and little Jack, were on the beach, relaxing for the first time in a while.

Mia and Jack were playing on the sand.

"Daddy, come play!" Mia told him.

Jack ran into Brian's arms. 

"Duty calls," Dom told him.

"Yeah, it does," Brian agreed, standing, going to play by the water with Jack and Mia. "Let's get Mama. Yeah!"

Jo looked at Anna. "So how does it feel? Now that Owen's in a coma and Deckard's in a prison cell he'll never get out on his own?"

Anna smiled a small smile. "It feels like it's over." She looked from Jo to Letty on either side of her. "And even if I did almost get myself killed, I didn't, and I didn't lose myself while getting the job done. Like I always say. I keep my promises."

They all smiled.

"Because the sun is out, I'm kind of medium rare, but I can get, like, well done," Roman told them. "Like, really dark." Tej pushed him lightly. "What you nudging me for?"

"Close your mouth for two seconds," Tej told him. "Just open your eyes, man."

They looked toward where Brian and Mia were playing with Jack.

"Beautiful," Letty told them. "That's where he belongs."

"Home," Dom told them. "Where he's always belonged."

"Things are gonna be different now," Jo told them. They watched somberly, bittersweet, as Brian lifted Jack above the sand, smiling and laughing in the distance. Mia stood next to them, smiling. Dom stood.  "You not going to say goodbye?" 

They watched as Brian, Jack and Mia ran across the sand.

"It's never goodbye," Dom told them.

Charlie Puth: "It's been a long day, without you my friend."

Dom walked away, leaving.

Charlie Puth: "And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again."

They continued to watch as Brian, Mia and Jack played around.

Charlie Puth: "We've come a long way from where we began. Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. When I see you again."

Dom was driving down a road alone.

Wiz Khalifa: "First you both go out your way. And the vibe is feeling strong. And what a small turn to a friendship. A friendship turn into a bond. And that bond will never be broken. The love will never get lost. And the love will never get lost. And when brotherhood come first, then the line will never be crossed. Established it on our own when that line had to be drawn."

Dom turned a corner.

Brian followed him in his car.

Wiz Khalifa: "And that line is what we reach so remember me when I'm gone." 

Charlie Puth:"It's been a long day, without you, my friend. And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. When I see you again."

Brian caught up to Dom, both of them coming to a stop. "Hey. You thought you could leave without saying goodbye?"

Dom and Brian smiled small, bittersweet smiles.
