Turn signals? Why do we have them? To let other people know why we are turning, of course. But not very many people use them; at least not very many Americans use them. For what reason exactly don't they use them? Do they just simply forget about them? Are they trying to kill someone? What if your child whom just got their license was behind you and you killed them just because you forgot to turn on your turn signal and they didn't know that? Would you feel the same way if it were a stranger? Maybe you just killed someone that didn't have the gut to do what you just did; maybe they wanted to die but couldn't bring themselves to do it. But you'll never know. I mean, what would you do if you killed someone, simply just because you forgot to put on your turn signal? I hope the answer is obvious but sometimes the obvious can be oblivion. We're not here to talk about that though, we are here to talk about why a school so small can have such a big impact, so big it makes it onto nationwide news.

When you're the shy kid, socially awkward person, you don't have many friends.Luckily that isn't me, we'll I'm a bit socially awkward but not like my best friend of all time, Codi Griffin. She is the smartest of my friends, super pretty, just everything every girl wants. She has no flaws, well I don't believe so, she would beg to differ. She would believe that every single part of her is a flaw, especially her brain. I shouldn't have said pretty, I shouldn't say beautiful. Yes, everyone looks at her and sees that she is a female, but once in awhile she feels like a guy. My best friend ever is gender fluid, good thing right? Not for my school. A rumor leaked out saying that she's a lesbian. Not bad right? Wrong! For people whom aren't straight as a ruler this book is meant for you. My friend gets made fun of for being pansexual and gender fluid. If only they knew the truth. She doesn't get made fun of for those two particular reasons; people call her gay and homophobic. They don't know the truth about her, only a few people do. Luckily, I know the truth, but I can keep secrets as well.

My school can be parted into 4 different sections; popular people, band geeks, socially awkward/outcasts, and people who know someone in each category. I am in the second and third categories, good thing Codi is in those two categories too. We're both in chorus but we both have trouble making friends. The thing that gets me worried sometimes is the fact that Codi has more friends than me; well less people hate her guts. If only she would know that. Her younger brother looks up to her as a second mother. She makes sure that her younger brother's needs come before hers. Our school is filled with mostly assholes that like to ruin other people's lives so Codi has a hard time realizing that her true friends care a lot about her.
