emily's pov-
I wake up to Lauren shaking my shoulders saying "Emily! Wake up! We're landing soon!" I get up and look at her hazily and realize that we should be landing in California soon. I wake up and stretch quickly and put on my beats headphones then put on my favorite song by Jack and Jack- Like That ft Skate and start humming along to the melody. We land around twenty minutes later so I grab my bag for me and for Lauren and hand hers to her while she calls a cab. She gets off the phone and says "I called a cab so we have one coming soon after we get off the plane." I quickly respond excitedly actually taking into consideration that we are actually living our dreams and say "Thanks Shaniqua" which is a nickname from when we were in sixth grade and say "I'm happy to be living my dream with you."
"Aww Emily! I'm happy too!" We walk out the airport into the baggage claim and quickly receive our bags and walk out of the airport to our cab. We tell the driver to take us to the UCLA campus and we get there in roughly ten minutes. We go to the administrators office to get our dorm number. I set my bag down and start to unpack my bags and turn Hotline Bling by Drake on knowing that that's our absolute favorite song and start to unpack. I turn on my phone and realize that it's already ten thirty. I have my stuff mostly unpacked and since I don't have classes until next week I still have plenty of time to unpack the rest of my stuff. I tell Lauren that I'm going to sleep and she does too. I go to sleep dreaming happily of finally chasing my dreams and excited of what's to come tomorrow.
